I got this to sink smaller stakes for temporary fencing. Hardware store drivers are a little heavier but this is all I need.

This fence post driver is not the lightest nor is it the heaviest. For me, the weight is just nice and is a good balance between what I need and what I can safely and consistently lift. For the depth at which I need to drive posts into the ground, this is just perfect for me. The seller includes a set of relatively thick gloves for use with it. That is a neat touch. If I had to comment on one thing that needs to be improved, it would have to be the packaging in which it arrived. Because of its weight, the item's box was barely intact when it arrived. It moved around so much that the busted the inner styrofoam padding and almost burst through the cardboard box. I would say that a better method of packing would make it safer during shipping. I wish the seller and/or the manufacturer would have put more thought on the quality and amount of padded packaging to use. Overall, this is a fence post driver that I would recommend.

I don't have much to compare this to. It's my first fence post driver. I don't have nearly the strength to drive posts into the ground, especially since my yard has not been tilled and it's rather compacted. I got this to help me with that. I suppose you can use this to get your aggressions out, too. Someone cut you off on the freeway? Go outside and use your favorite fence driving post. Scatter that energy into the earth! Boss yell at you for no good reason? Same thing. Kids yelling and fighting with each other. Yep, you know the answer. Do your thing. At the rate you're going, you could have a nice little fence built. One day at a time.

I don’t worry, have a hard time with lifting post pounders above my head to put in the post. However, this one is lightweight enough That I didn’t tire out as quickly. It definitely got the job done.

Why the complaints? I had to borrow one of these last summer to drive a half dozen metal posts into the ground, and the one I borrowed was covered with rust and chips. Now I have my own, TWELVE POUND post driver, made of 4mm (1/4"+) thick black powder coated steel, to do the job for more posts this summer. This driver is 16" overall, and has 9-1/2" of free slide space inside. Note the diameter inside is slightly less than 2-3/4", so know your limitations. I was able to pound a couple of test "T" stakes into dry California clay pretty effortlessly. The seller includes a pair of cotton gloves, but a set of ear plugs would have been more useful. The two grips are angled towards the user. I found this more comfortable than my previous driver, with handles on exact opposite sides. All in all, no complaints, and it really gets the job done. Five star helper.

Great quality heavy duty professional tee post installer, have been using a sledgehammer this is much safer and you don't need to use a ladder. Great weight easy to use perfectly sized for the job at a great price, performed as it should.
