I was nervous about buying an air conditioner on Amazon, but I am so glad that I picked this one!! This Spürbar 12000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner is a 3-IN-1 unit Fan & Dehumidifier AC unit with LED Remote Control. It says that it cools up to 600 sq. ft. room, but I think it can do bigger. It has Sleep Mode, a 24H Timer, and a 2 speed Auto-evaporator. I love the you can plug it in and it immediately blows cold and it blows hard. I am very satisfied with this purchase, it is an excellent, quality built unit at a very reasonable price.

Great packaging which is really important when you have a large and heavy item. I’d say the AC unit weighs about 50 lbs. Instructions are on the outside of the box which tells you how to remove the parts and AC unit out of the box. Everything in the box was packaged well. 2 instructions were provided: a quick setup guide and an instruction booklet with more detail instructions. The instructions that show how the parts that go into the window were easy to follow. But you probably will have to cut one of the plastic pieces provided to fit into your window. These pieces fit ‘pretty good’ into your window, but it is not a tight fit. Little gaps were present where you might want to use some tape to keep outside air out. In my case, I had a screen on the outside, so I wasn’t concerned about the bugs. The 6” diameter hose easily spreads apart and connects between the back of the AC unit and the window. The hose is about 6’ long and can easily bend to a 45 degree angle. The ends of the hose twists onto to the 2 plastic pieces provided. As for the plug provided, it is a 3-prong plug and it also has a test and reset device on the plug side. My unit was in the test mode, so be sure you reset the push button by the plug to get the unit to turn on. Also, there is a water hose about 3/8” in diameter which allows the evaporated water to discharge into your bucket or maybe a 1 gallon milk bottle. OK…now all is connected, and I pressed the power button on top of the AC unit and the system started. I wanted cooling in the room so I pressed cooling with the mode button, and pressed the down button to 70 degrees. Two fan speeds are provided - low and high. It also has a timer function for automatic power off. On low, the noise level is satisfactory for sleeping. In about 2 minutes, cold air was blowing out of the front of the AC unit. This is a great air conditioner for a room that is under 200 sq. ft. I would highly recommend it.

I bought this nervous about how well it would work but to my surprise it works even better than I expected! I love this air conditioner! I would recommend to anyone and it’s easy to put together and looks nice. The description states 550 sqft but my apartment is 725 and it keeps the whole apartment cool. I also have been keeping it on 68 and on low and it’s still keeping it nice and cool. It’s been in the 80s where I live. I’m so happy with my purchase!

I am incredibly pleased with this unit! I've always had central air and heat and was not sure what to expect from this little unit. Hooking it up was easy. At first I did not use the continuous drain method, the unit shut itself off as it should. Trying to drain was difficult as the plug was nearly ground level, which did not leave enough space to place anything under to collect the water. Using continuous drain worked better for me. Both the cooling and dehumidifying functions are excellent. I also appreciate being able to set the desired temperature when cooling. The unit is quiet (I'm sensitive to noise), does not leak, and can be stored easily because it is compact.

Was thinking of having a mini split installed in a 400 sq ft addition (built years ago) that is a bit of a summer hotspot in the house, but didn't want to lay out the $5K. This does an excellent job of aiding the cooling of the area, including the kitchen (with the central AC also operating). Brought the temperature down 2-3 degrees on the hottest days, which made a huge difference in comfort. Yes, the vent hose is an eyesore, but we managed to find a place that's mostly out of the way, and for the price I'd go this route again in a minute. Very pleased with this purchase so far. The only question now is durability. For the price, if I have to replace it every 2-3 years (using only 6 months per year) I'll still be very pleased.

If I had know a " portable" air conditioner was not portable and so much bother, I would never have purchased this. You need one pipe going out a window. That pipe is hot. All that heat radiates into your house. Plus another pipe draped into a bucket for all the condensation or your floor will be soaked. Plus to drain it when it indicates, you need to detach everything and pretty much wheel it outside because the drain is placed SO low you could never put a container under it to catch the water. Never again.

This thing is perfect! It's just wanted I needed to cool off my bedroom. Its where I spend most of my time, and my electric bill has been crazy high in the summer months. Pretty simple set up and instructions. Blows cold air and not too noisy for me. Its like white noise, which I like.

This portable AC unit works great! I keep it in the living room and it cools the whole area quick and definitely works to keep most of the apartment at a comfortable temperature as well. The air that is output is definitely very cold. Set up is super easy, and it can be put in and taken down from the window less than a minute if you did not want to leave it in the window 24/7. It’s not very loud at all! I can watch TV with this running in the background and I don’t notice the noise. The unit is lightweight enough to move from room to room easily since it has wheels on the bottom. I would recommend this AC unit to anyone who is looking to cool a room/small apartment that doesn’t have central AC. This is a lifesaver in the Summer!!
