This is a great a/c. I put it inside my Kitty Kabin and run it in the summer b/c ours in Texas are so hot and humid that our cats just suffer in the heat. I have several feral cats and they love being able to cool off in their "house". IDK why, but the last one I bought last year the fan broke on it and I had to replace it this year as I don't know how to fix it. You can buy a warranty with it, but I didn't. Since it is important to have a/c for my feral cats, I just bought another. I am sure it was quicker and I didn't want my cats to suffer in this oppressive heat. I bought the 1400 btu for my garage cats and that one is still working just fine. I really like this a/c over others. Easy to use. The thermostat regulates the temp so it doesn't run all the time. It keeps the temp of the room perfect to the setting. It is a good product.

I got this AC unit because my finished attic / man cave is harder to cool than the rest of the house. The central air goes to the room, but it is always 5 to 10 degrees F hotter than the rest of the house, which makes it very uncomfortable. With this AC unit, it cools it to a perfect temperature in just a few minutes (less than 10), and makes life much more enjoyable in the room. It also has a remote control, which makes it easy to change temp or turn the unit on and off as needed. It comes with the full window kit to install. There are adhesive foam strips to line the window so you can properly seal the area, which is nice. I appreciated the fact that I didn't need to go buy anything additional to install this unit. There is also a hose and port for the condensed humidity to drain out from. I simply have a small bucket to catch the water, and so far I have not even needed to empty it. Overall, this unit has been a great purchase for me. I couldn't be happier with the result, and I am looking forward to enjoying my man cave more this summer than I ever have before. If you are in the market for a strong AC unit, this is a great option. I highly recommend it.

Works well in addition to central AC but can’t replace a window unit for those times central might go out and this is the only thing trying to keep one room cool. Over night it was working well enough to put ice on the heat transfer coils, but midday it’s barely keeping temps 6 degrees Fahrenheit lower than outside - which is a small reprise but the heat plus humidity is too much for this unit to handle

It does what it says....on the fine print. Ive got 450sq ft garage with insulated doors and tinted windows. This 8k SACC unit struggles to keep at 76-78 degrees. If it's sunny and 90 outside, ill maybe get to 82-85 in the garage. Its misleading if you dont know the differences in the BTUs. They advertise 12k...but its not SACC. 8k BTU SACC isn't enough for 400+ sq ft. My gripe is less with the machine and more over the listing. Companies need to standardize the use of SACC BTU rating. No others matter. If I could return this one and upgrade I would but the box and materials are gone. How the heck do I drop of a portable AC to UPS

I can't say enough good things about this 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner! I installed it in my basement window, and it has completely transformed the space. My basement used to get stuffy and humid during the summer, but now it’s cool, dry, and comfortable all day long. Powerful Cooling for a Large Space: My basement is around 500 sq. ft., and this AC cools it down quickly and evenly. The air feels fresh and consistent, and it doesn’t struggle to maintain the temperature, even on the hottest days. Excellent Dehumidifier Function: One of the biggest issues with basements is humidity. The dehumidifier mode on this unit has been a lifesaver! It pulls moisture out of the air effortlessly, making the space feel so much less damp and musty. Low Maintenance: The built-in self-evaporation system is amazing. I rarely need to drain it, which is perfect since it’s in the basement. On extra humid days, draining is simple with the back plug and hose. Quiet and Peaceful Operation: I was concerned about noise since I sometimes use the basement as a workspace, but this unit runs quietly. The sleep mode is incredibly quiet—perfect when I’m down there reading or relaxing. User-Friendly Controls: The LED display is easy to read, and the remote control is super handy. I can adjust the temperature and fan settings without having to go over to the unit, which is great for a basement setup. Simple Installation: Setting it up in my basement window was easier than I expected. The window kit fit perfectly, and the whole installation took about 10 minutes. This air conditioner does the job, is easy to set up, and isn't too heavy which is nice. Only comment is that it is not as quiet as it seems to be described as - its hard to fall asleep with if near your bed and will wake you up if set on auto to turn on when needed. The only window I could put it in is near my bed so that may be a factor, but still consider that. I am still happy with my purchase.
