At Lowes tarps come in 5mil, 10mil, and 15mil. At lowes 15mil is considered "Heavy Duty." This tarp is definitely 10mil. I have several 15mil tarps, and this is not a "heavy duty" 15mil tarp. It's still made well. The grommets are strong. It's fine for what i'm using it for. It's also much cheaper than the same size 15mil tarp at Lowes, so I feel the value is fine. ... show more

This is a decent tarp. It's thicker than the basic cheap ones you get at the big box stores. Whether you consider it to be "heavy duty" will largely depend on your own expectations, but it's good enough for the things I plan to use it for and less likely to tear than the cheap ones
