Don't last as long as the heavier duty black/grey or brown/grey tarps but this does allow some light through which makes cleaning the boat easier while covered and mold mildew growth isn't a quick. It also makes it a little less hot. It's not exactly water proof as it will leak anywhere water stands and it started fading/flaking off the color pigment after a few months. The first one I purchased had no visible flaws. The second one has a grommet installed on the edge and failed immediately out of the package. Not enough of an issue to return. Boat is 30 ft long

So disappointed... we'd purchased THREE Teal"Elite" HEAVY DUTY tarps (two 2x30's + one 16x20) #1. to go under our inflatable waterslide; #2. to cover/protect waterslide & #3. the smaller tarp to cover another baby pool. Unfortunately, they did not perform as well as other heavy duty tarps we have. We quickly found out you could not use a household broom on it - to sweep leaves off. We also found we couldn't even use a standard hose/spray attachment - as that too caused the color/tarp to instantly disintegrate/show wear. (So we had to keep dragging our corded leaf blower; to avoid damaging the tarp any further.) We definitely needed a better cover; so we ended up replacing it with an "ULTRA HEAVY DUTY" WHITE one (unsure I'm allowed to link it - but just search: H.D. White Tarp Ultra Thick 16 Mil) which I highly recommend because it held up to DAILY use of pulled out & rolled up on a pool cover reel; still looks great & I'm definitely going to be able to use it for at least another season if not even longer. But I am so disappointed that these "elite" "heavy duty" tarps couldn't even last ONE summer season - which for us was 3 months (from the end of May to the end of August). LOVED the color but wouldn't waste my $ buying this brand again; comparing it to other "heavy duty" tarps we've had/still have in use. *NOTE: For those that might wonder; WHY didn't I just return the ones I hadn't opened?! Well, I'd purchased them way ahead of time for "next season", so unfortunately we were well outside of the return window.

I got this tarp because I live in an apartment building with a back porch and I wanted to cover it up since I have 2 stray cats that come and hang out in my porch. Even though the porch is roofed, rain and snow was still getting all over the floor. I wanted to create a space where the cats could get away from the harsh elements and this was the perfect temporary solution as a renter. I stapled 2 tarps to the wooden fence and ceiling and they're doing a great job at keeping snow and rain outside. I leave 2 corners open and the cats very quickly learned how to come in and exit. There were some extreme high wind days where the tarp started to come down in some corners, but a few quick staples fixed it. The tarp itself has lasted about 5 months and it's still up now. There's a few holes on it (probably from the staples combined with high winds which may have caused it to tear a little). Still, it's standing strong today. Also, when there are very high winds, the noises of the tarp can be loud. Overall, the 8x10 tarp is big and the price point is great.
