Read loads of reviews. Here is my take. No, these are not the 100% cotton of genuine quality African prints. For this price, of course not. Those would be four times more expensive. You aren't making clothing with fat quarters. These are either 100%poly or a blend. Colors and prints are terrific. Yes you could quilt with these, you will want to finish the edges and gently remove the remaining wax just as you would prewash cotton. But don't expect a cotton like finish - they aren't cotton. Not priced like cotton. I suspect made in Asia for cheap cheap. These are most appropriate for small bag projects etc. Of course, fat quarters - bonus, the remaining wax (if you don't remove it) helps with structure and gives a bit of water resistance. Don't expect mercedes quality at a volkswagen price and you will be delighted with these. ... show more

    • Very sticky substance
This fabric arrived quickly, but three of the pieces have large sticky areas that made them stick to the other fabric, making three more pieces sticky (6 sticky pieces in total). The sticky area is on an edge, right in the center and extends at least two inches toward the center of the fabric making these pieces somewhat unusable for my intended purpose. The sticky patches remind me of two sided webbing that has been ironed on then pulled off. The colors are very vibrant and the material seems to be good quality. I will use what I can, but I will not re-order from this seller. ... show more
