This is a nice looking modern chandelier which is fairly easy to assemble and install. All the hardware is included (sans the light bulbs). This light is made of matte black metal with a nice brushed gold look. The packaging includes 5 extension rods about 8 inches long and, depending of how many rods are used, the chandelier can be hung down lower or higher depending on the height of the ceiling. The only tricky part was installing the screws at the ceiling. The base of this fixture is shallow so there is not much room between the ceiling and base to maneuver the screwdriver. I have ordered several light fixtures, lamps and chandeliers off the Amazon site. The quality, variety of choices and styles are amazing. If you haven't searched the Amazon site for light fixtures, I encourage you to do so. This beautiful modern chandelier is my latest find. Features: 1) The packaging includes all the necessary hardware to install the fixture. Light bulbs are not included. 2) This 6 light Sputnik chandelier is made of metal. The finish is a beautiful brushed gold tone with matte black. 3) The chandelier is well made and very easy to assemble and disassemble. 4) Once fully assembled, the fixture appears light and airy, while also being substantial. Per the seller, the fully assembled size of the piece is 1266 mm, which is approximately 50". The packaging includes five extention rods. If all five rods are used, the chandelier will hang approximately 40" down from the ceiling. Four of the five extention rods measure approximately 8" long. The fifth extention rod is two four inch rods screwed together. 5) The max wattage for the required E26 bulb is 60W. 6) The packaging includes a User Manual that is a very easy read. Note: the manual does not state if dimmable light bulbs can be used with this chandelier. However, the User Manual recommends using a "qualified licensed electrician" to install the fixture. An electrician will be able to appropriately advise you concerning the bulbs and a dimmer switch, if applicable. I really like this Sputnik chandelier for its beautiful modern upscale look and the overall quality of the piece. It also has a good weight, without being excessively heavy. ... show more

The light is well designed and made with attention to manufacturing detail. The installation process is relatively easy and it was installed without consulting the manual most of the time. As suggested by the product description, this light is best looking with some decorative bulbs. Since this is mostly positive, let me get the negative out of the wat first. The base of this fixture is shallow. The screws that attach it to the bracket are towards the top of the base. There is thus very little space between the ceiling and the screws and the ceiling, as is illustrated in the 2nd picture, making it difficult for drills and even screwdrivers to maneuver there. The consequence of that is that you may need to loosen the bracket a bit, meaning this thing won't be perfectly screwed flush to the ceiling. That said, the fixture itself is nice and built well. I've had other Sputnik fixtures that have a hollow and wobbly feeling; this one has quality and heft. It can be rotated, and it stays firmly in place. I got these to replace a very old school looking chandelier in our dining room. When I first received it, I was surprised at how compact the box was, but it came complete with everything you need. It was very easy to put together and I almost didn't need to refer to the instructions. Installation is straight to the point as well. Really a no fuss light fixture and added modernity to our space.
