For the price, I think you get what you pay for. Installation wasn't difficult but would have been easier had they included a template for cutting out the countertop hole. The small burner lights perfectly every time. The large burner lights on the first try about 1/3rd of the time, if not less. You can hear and smell the gas, and see the spark, but it just doesnt like igniting. I usually end up having to play with the burner caps to get it to light. The media could not be loaded. The Vanston 12" stove top is a great-looking unit that would be perfect as a kitchen island stovetop or in a tiny home or camper. I am using mine in a new outdoor kitchen build. For outdoor use, wind must be blocked. This is not a high pressure camp stove. For use in a camper or camp trailer, you'll want to remove and safely store the grate and the burner covers during travel. Installation is a breeze. There is a cardboard template for the counter top cutout. The unit drops in and is secures with the included metal tabs. The included regulator screws onto the unit, and you attach your propane supply. This model also needs to be plugged into 120v AC power for the igniters. The stove is set up for natural gas, but everything is included to convert to propane (LP gas). Conversion is simple. Under each burner is a gas jet. Unscrew them and install the LP gas jets. Unscrew the hex cap on the regulator. There's a plastic piece screwed into the underside of this cap. Unscrew it, flip it, and screw it back in. Now you're set up for propane! If you are running off a portable propane tank, you'll want a two-stage regulator on the tank as well. This should provide you with 11" wc of pressure. Lighting the burners is simple, but keep in mind that there is a safety thermocouple on each burner, so you need to hold down the knob in the ignite position for about a second or two after it lights before letting go. Now you can turn the burner down to whatever level you need for cooking. The larger burner is quite nice for a frying pan or other large cooking vessel. The cast iron grate is heavy and is a very sturdy base even for larger pots. There are no exposed sharp edges to cut yourself on. This is a very well designed stove. Please note that in the pics, my stove has not been installed in the counter top yet. ... show more

After comparing many options, this built-in cooktop appeared as the clear winner. Cast iron and stainless steel are used in the construction of this model, which makes it incredibly durable and has a delightful style. It is simple to clean. Both natural gas and propane nozzles are included in the construction of the burner. The quality of the material is considerably higher than my previous model. The media could not be loaded. after looking at many models, this is the best built-in cooktop. This model is a very nice European design, heavy duty cast iron and stainless steel. Easy to clean. The burner is equipped with natural gas and propane nozzles. The fire is very good, the hob is much heavier than what we used to use, and the material is better than what I used to have.
