The product worked as expected. It’s fairly sturdy for its weight. The ladder couldn’t decide to stay up or down. The instructions are too generalized and the steps wouldn’t lock into place very easily. Still intended to keep it, but it will have to earn my trust.

This ladder is quite a relief for me compared to the telescope ladder which I have already and is short and has no A shape option because the gutter of the porch, which I have to clean almost every month, is very weak and hence it won't hold the weight of the ladder and me together, but with this new A shape ladder I don't have to lean on it and hence I can clean it much better. I also have some solar lights on the tree and on my home which are hard to reach with the old ladder. This one is larger and also has a wider stand for safer usage, so I can go higher without taking more risk. The functions are quite intuitive. There's a safety bracket for the A shape if you need, but the normal lock looks is already very safe. Also the belt which can be used for safe transport is very helpful and there are even two wheels for easier transport on a flat surface. It's a bit heavier than my old ladder, but because it's so compact when folded, it's still easy to transport and doesn't take too much space in the garage. Now I'm looking forward to apply the Christmas decoration because it will be much easier with this ladder. ... show more

    • Started Off Great...but After a Couple of Uses It's Confused?
I got this stool to replace an existing one that just didn't feel stable when on the top step. The first time I used this stool, it was easy to open, the feet don't slip, and it was stable when climbing. After about a half dozen uses, though, the stool seems confused....let me explain. When folding down the stool for use from being collapsed, there is a metal bar that helps everything slide into place correctly. All of a sudden, that metal bar is allowing the step to move wrong where it can't be "snapped" into place. I generally push forward on the top step to open and set the stool. Now, after I push about halfway, I'm having to grab the front of the lower step to slide the steps where the are supposed to be. Now once they get there, the steps will snap into place the stool has no other issues. I'm sure a little guide or something may have broken off...or maybe i completely forgot how to open a stepstool. Either way it's a great little stool with a little bit of "character". ... show more

At first glance, I really liked this ladder. I am 6'2" and 240 pounds. This ladder holds my weight and is wider than the average step ladder. When opened and properly set up, this ladder is nice. There is a soft foam handle and the ladder itself is very light and easy to carry. The rubber feet are very nice and soft so I don't have to worry about my wood floors getting scuffed. Upon further inspection, I found some things that I really don't care for. The first is the zero attention to detail. There is a warning sticker that goes on the left leg. It was only attached down the middle with the edges not stuck to the ladder. I thought it was like that because it was designed to come off. NOPE. It is designed to shred into 100 pieces if you try to take it off. Also the logo sticker that is on the top step. It looks like my 3 year old daughter put it on. It is very sticky, so I worry that I will damage it if I take it off, or it might not go back on. The quality control issues can be expected. I just wanted to point them out. The first main complaint is that there is no lock to keep it closed. Every step stool I own has a simple release lock that allows the stool to easily open and set into place. This one opens with no lock, and you have to put a lot of force into "locking" it into place. If my daughter was using this, I am not sure her weight would be enough to lock it into place, causing a dangerous situation. The worst issue is that the ladder does not easily open. As you can see from my photo, when I try to simply push open the stool, the bottom step twists the wrong way. The only way to open the step stool is to push on the bottom step while you open it. That way the step lays the correct way. For the price, I say just go to the big box store near you and buy a name brand step stool for much less. I do not recommend this item. ... show more
