I don’t know what they coated all the threads with (they’re black and crumbly) but I found it impossible, no matter how much or how little tape I used, to get it to seal and stop leaking. There was also an adaptor missing for the relief valve. I saw a lot of good reviews for this water heater, but my experience has been incredibly frustrating and a day of work wasted. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I found this water heater to be just the trick when you're paying for an RV site or just want to use electric the 8 gallon capacity is plenty I replaced my atwell 6 gallon by incorporating a few t's and some shut-offs in the packs made a few holes into the cargo hold and I was able to put this 8 gallon in, we almost never use the propane since we pay for the electric at the RV sites and it's just easier to operate the electric it works great! ... show more
