These are BRIGHT and stunning in my work. I’m totally obsessed with adding them for my accents and want to use every color at some point. The photos and videos don’t really do the justice I wish they did, in person they are even more metallic. They do not fray as easily as some other metallic threads I’ve used in the past. Have a slight elastic quality to them that helps this. I use either 1 or 2 threads and this applies to both. Just be gentle with the 1 thread and use a wide eye so you don’t fray it before you even start. Will purchase again, would like to be able to purchase the individual colors. This project I used the rose gold, champagne, red, and dark silver/gunmetal. The other iridescent metallic colors are a different product entirely. ... show more

Used this in some recent cross stitch projects, and I loved the colors. The only issue I had was that the "tinsel" would sometimes start peeling off so it wasn't the easiest to use, but it does look great for the final product. What I needed. I wish the threads had been a little longer, but good for the price. Quality is decent. I've never used the metallic threads, so I didn't know what to expect. The floss was more abrasive than I expected. I thought the dye would be metallic rather than somehow adhering a glitter-like substance to the individual threads, but it's fine for the price. I'm using them for temari, so it'll be adequate for now. ... show more

    • Very difficult making and keeping knots tight for friendship bracelets!
The colors are GORGEOUS. I use this for friendship bracelets. When tying the knots for friendship bracelets the knots come apart very easily so you have to be super on top of re-tightening every knot which is frustrating. I powered thru a bracelet using the purple shiny one and again, gorgeous color but the knots do NOT hold. As hard as I tried the bracelet still had noticeable holes and gaps from where the knots came slightly loose despite me re-tightening. It felt like a struggle to complete. 3 stars for color and shine.. I’ll prob still use these skeins but man, I won’t be looking forward to that project in the future lol Also I only used one color for the bracelet and the rest were regular dnc floss and it still feels a bit scratchy. ... show more
