For the money, this is a very nice air compressor. It was easy to assemble and works well. I installed a shutoff valve on the regulated air line side. I may do the same for the high pressure line side. But, this compressor is advertised as having a sound level of 70 DB. I measured the sound level with the compressor running from six feet away. The sound measured 75 DBa, 5 DB louder than specified. The difference may seem trivial, but an increase of 3DB over the specified sound level is a sound power increase of 100%. However, even with the sound greater than advertised, it is still much quieter than a couple of my older air compressors.

I was first gonna give this a 3 star bc when I first got it and used it, the pressure regulated side coupler was leaking air and come to find out it was split.. no big deal I still had the other side but I come home today to find the plug has malfunctioned (it was in the off position) and is now causing the outlet to burn. The plug in for the compressor and the outlet are both now shot. Mind you this is an outlet I use for many different tools so it has been used with no issues. First of all, I do not believe that this air compressor is a 14 gallon tank. This tank does not even pass my knee cap. It is a vertical cylinder shape 12 inches tall with a 14 inch diameter; therefore, volume=pi(r)²(h) which gives 8 gallons. Either the engineers at Bootree need a math lesson or we are deliberately being deceived. In other words, false advertising. As soon as you receive this air compressor, there is a stipulation "DO NOT SEND THIS BACK (contact us first)". So you can't even get a refund. Secondly, this 8 gallons compressor cannot handle large tasks. I bought this to paint the hood and fenders on my car, but it couldn't even handle that capacity. When you first open the package, the instructions direct you to turn it on with the air valve open to break it in, and to leave it running for 30 minutes (if I remember right), but when I did that, the compressor shut itself off after only 20nminutes, because this compressor cannot run 20 minutes without shutting down. I ruined the paint on my car at least four times trying to paint with this cheap wannabe compressor and it made me angry because automotive paint is very expensive. Last, but not least, the plastic wheels that come with it are made for a toy truck and break very easily. If you live in the country as I do, hauling this thing across the yard and having to go over gravel and dirt will break the wheels as I did with mine. I bought some good steel ones with rubber but after using this compressor, I probably should have saved my money and instead of buying better wheels, I should have invested in a better compressor. I am not happy with this purchase and plan to buy a 27 gallon air compressor with a stronger motor. If you read this far, I recommend that you do not buy this compressor. Get a better one. And if you're stubborn and do not believe my review, and insist on buying this item, contact me and I will sell you mine for cheap. I think I paid $279.99 for mine. The media could not be loaded. The first one arrived broken, would not compress over 60psi. Ended up returning for a another one and it works very well. It's very quiet and gets up to pressure really quickly . The video is of the broken one,the replacement works perfectly

This is a nice compressor for light use. It performs better than my old twin tank Rigid with a lot less noise. First impression of build quality is this thing is not made for daily use. That makes sense considering the low price. For you average DIYer it seems like a great value.
