When I received the box everything was packaged well and the product itself was very sturdy. The manual explained in detail the different ways to hook the camera up to the trailer. The unit can be installed in a prewired trailer or as a new install. I purchased this backup camera to replace my Furion 4inch unit. The Furion worked, but I always wanted to get a larger viewing screen. Installation was easy as basically you remove four screws and remove the other housing and screw the new housing up. My trailer came prewired so connecting the existing power was a snap. As soon as I powered everything up the 7 inch screen connected right away. I have a 38ft travel trailer so I was a little concerned about the distance. The picture that came through was very clear. I definitely would recommend this backup camera to anyone looking a quality backup camera.

I did need tech support, to establish how to get power to the thing once it was mounted. It did fit perfectly when I removed the existing Furrion mount! The screws worked, and fitted well too! Nice insulation and seal's to keep water out. The problem I had was specific to a Newer GM vehicle with Lights that have an AUTO option. Once hooked to the trailer with the connection on the truck, you simply turn the lights ON from the AUTO position. Which in my case was to the right one notch. The running lights on the trailer all lit up! I drove it all the way home NOT knowing this fact! Once you see running lights, the camera should have power. Pairing was easy, quick, simple. Screen has a good output and keep that ladder handy to adjust your view and it should be Golden! Good Product.

I have a large Sprinter van that came without a reverse camera. The vehicle has no windows on the side or in the rear. Picture a large white work van. Having a reverse camera was needed so I could safely back up. I found this wireless camera and it seemed like the perfect solution. Sure enough I had it working in 5 minutes. The display comes with a standard 12v socket plug as well as a hardware kit. I used the 12v socket for the time being. The camera needs 12v from one of the reverse lights. It comes with the appropriate wires and Scotch locks to install. I even tried it on my trailer that I tow behind the sprinter and the signal strength was perfect. I might buy a second camera just for the trailer. Also the image quality is fantastic. Crystal clear picture. It comes with a suction cup mount as well as a metal mount bracket. Overall very happy with this purchase.

Purchased this for my 22ft travel trailer, to use both for backing, and as a rear-view camera when driving. Install was quick and easy - my trailer had a pre-wired mount for a Furrion camera, this unit plugged straight in to the wiring, and the mount holes lined up perfectly, had it mounted in under 5 minutes. Plugged the screen in and powered everything up - had good picture right away. I really like the larger screen, makes it easy to see while driving and don't have to take my eyes off the road for long. Just got back from a 1500 mile trip and had this on the entire way, was really glad I did. The screen is designed to pair with more than one camera - I'm considering adding a second one that's mounted at a different angle to give me even better rear visibility straight behind my vehicle when driving. For backing into campsites, the camera is perfect. For seeing far down the highway behind me, the angle is a bit shallow, which is why I'm thinking of getting a second camera to have the best of both worlds.

Camera works well in both day and night mode and was releatively easy to install in the Camera ready spot, though do expect to need longer screws. A quick trip to the hardware store solved all the issues. Consider using a bit of silicone sealant around the tops and sides of the mount, but leave a small spot on the bottom unsealed to allow moisture out.
