Please be aware this is not a 15 minute assembly. I had no trouble putting it together or reading the instructions. Works fair in the yard. I wish it had more than one of the star wheels that actually turned the shaft. I didn’t notice sometimes when it bounced it needed another star wheel pulling on the shaft to keep it spreading fertilizer. Other than that, I think it is a good buy. I was so excited about this product to pull behind my side by side. Took forever to install. Had to wait two weeks for it to rain to aerate/seed my 4 acres. When i got out there nothing happened, Seeder wasn't moving and no seeds were spread. Only holds. 50lb bag not 100lb. Apparently why it didn't work the spoke for the chain was warped so the chain got hung up and locked and the seeds wouldn't spread. Start the return process -says for defective part call. Could never get ahold of anyone. Then a week after i bought it at $359 it's now $175🤬. But now I try to start the return it's closed i can't w en return this defective POS that i can't replace e or used abd paid twice the price they're selling it for now. I want it replaced/Refunded i'm pissed. ... show more

We live in rural Kansas far enough from a large city to hire someone to seed our lawn. So we bought this one and so far it is just what we need. Husband used it to fertilize our lawn this spring and he plans on seeding the lawn this fall. Only thing to keep in mind is if you have compacted soil or something dense on top of the soil, then use some weights on the top of seeder to force the tines into the soil. 😤 Nothing on this unit comes pre-assembled. You are assembling essentially the entire spreader/aerator from scratch, which would be fine if the instructions and parts quality matched the price. They don’t. The instructions are some of the worst I’ve seen—confusing, low-quality pictures that don’t clearly match the product, and it turns into a lot of backtracking and guessing. The bigger problem was quality control. I had missing fasteners, extra parts that didn’t appear anywhere in the parts list, and at least one part that was flat-out wrong. There are supposed to be 12 identical plastic bushings that support/space the star-wheel tines and the ends of the frame/shaft. I received 11 that were correct, and the “12th” had the wrong inner diameter hole (roughly 1/2" instead of the 5/8"+ shaft size). It belongs nowhere on the unit as far as I could determine, and it wasn’t even listed correctly. I’m a career commercial vehicle mechanic and I have the tools to work around problems like this, so I drilled/reamed the bushing to size. Even then, because the bushing compresses when it’s pressed into the frame housing, it still needed additional fitting so the shaft would pass and spin freely like it’s supposed to. That should never be required on a brand-new kit. I needed this for spring lawn prep and it turned into a time-sink. After all that work, it still doesn’t function the way it should, so I’ll be returning it as soon as I can get help loading it (I can’t lift much right now). I’m also planning to contact Amazon because this was a seriously disappointing experience from start to finish. ✅ ... show more
