I originally received the 5500 Lumen lights set and hung them on rafters in attic and was so impressed that I couldn't resist these even brighter 7000lm lights. I set them up in the rafters of my garage and plug them in at outlet when needed- really nice bright non-harsh light to locate what ever item or box that I came out to to look for in the cluttered box strewn garage. The lights themselves were nice, large and light weight- usually you order a product and when you actually receive it looks much smaller than you thought it would be. I actually have both versions of the string lights Hyanglux sells this one at 7000LM and the other at 5500LM. I really didn't notice any real brightness difference myself. 1500LM over the whole set of lights is not a lot to my eyes. This set is the more "industrial" looking of the two. The cages might add a little protection but they are mostly cosmetic I would guess. Both sets give off adequate light for any situation a DIY'er would need. The only thing I did not like about either set is that they are billed as "contractor grade". While they just might be tough enough to last, they don't have a ground on the plugs. I may be mistaken but, I am pretty sure OSHA requires grounded plugs on jobsites. So, if you are looking for a light sting for your business, you might want to check and make sure of the regulations. ... show more

i absolutely LOVE these lights. i ordered them to use to help light up my work area outside while i tinker inside my car, but these lights are much longer and much brighter than just workspace area...im thinking of ordering a second set to put inside my garage because the lighting is exceptional! they are long and heavy duty. i love that there are hook rings to hang the lights up with ease. i also love that the ends of the plugs have covers to them in case you leave the female end of it out in the elements. i would not put these outside my house because of the bright yellow color. nevertheless, these lights are well made, super bright, and affordable....well done! ... show more

This string of temporary light is easy to set up and light weight. They only use 50 watts of power for the whole string but put out a tremendous amount of light. They look nice and have non break covers. You can hook a couple of strings together if you want.

This is a LONG, exceptionally bright string of lights. I haven't had to use it in bad weather yet to test how it handles adverse conditions, but it is well-constructed and seems like it will last for quite some time.
