  • Solid durable rope for weekend tree work or tool hauling
Size: 150ft-Red
I’ve got a lot of large oak trees on my property, and thanks to windstorms and natural aging, there’s always something that needs pruning, clearing, or taking down before it turns into a real hazard. For climbing and positioning work, I’ve been using a 1/2-inch, 48-strand nylon climbing rope paired with my Petzl Rig. The Rig gives me dependable control when I’m ascending or locking off in the canopy, and I appreciate how solid the rope feels in that setup. I like the way nylon performs—it has a bit more stretch, which gives a dynamic feel when I’m moving around in the tree. That slight give can help absorb motion when I shift my weight or swing into position, especially on longer climbs. The rope’s outer sheath is tightly woven and holds up well against abrasion—I’ve dragged it across rough bark, wrapped it around stubs, and even let it dry out after a few rainy sessions without seeing any fraying, glazing, or stiffness. It’s not just for climbing either—I use it to haul tools and cut branches too. It holds knots securely but isn’t so stiff that tying off in awkward spots becomes a pain. Coiling it at the end of the day takes a bit of effort, but I’d rather deal with that than fight a rope that twists and kinks. I can also run it through my Black Diamond belay device without any issues, which gives me flexibility depending on the situation. For climbing, rigging, and just staying upright when the wind starts rocking those big limbs—this rope has earned my trust. ... show more

  • Definitely some good rope!
Size: 200ft-Red
The media could not be loaded. Bought the rope to help bring down a tree. The 200 ft was definitely overkill but glad I had it for the job. The rope worked great, was reliable and arrived very quickly from when it was ordered. Very high quality.

  • 1/2 rope review
Size: 150ft-Blue
Now I use yale cordage 11mm blue moon/Prism ropes but this was feels a little bit better I used this to climb a few oaks, some pine trees (Ofc I ran a yale cordage rope as a secondary for another climber just in case this rope failed but its easy to use,the durability is great with a rope runner pro, zigzag plus I carry alot of gear on my monkey beaver 2.0 saddle and it didn't even snap unlike the other off brand ones we tried out it can hold alot of knot's it also Untying itself looks great the price is also great for a 1/2 150" rope ... show more

  • 2% Short Of Specified 100 Ft Length.
Size: 100ft-Red
What I purchased was advertised as 100Ft. It was not, it was 98' 1-1/2". See accompanying photo. Fortunately, my project was not delayed because I did not need a full 100'. The rope was taut when measuring to the point my wife could not hold the end and the end of the tape measure if I pulled harder. Let this be a warning to all purchasers that you should verify lengths. It used to states in the United States were very concerned and about weights and measures, now with Amazon, 2% can be cut off and nobody will care or know. Otherwise, rope worked well, I was able to cut it in half and used a heat gun to melt the newly cut end -- that worked really well. I also whipped the freshly cut ends. The original ends were not whipped, just melted which, I guess, should be okay... maybe? ... show more

  • Awesome!!!
Size: 150ft-Red
This is best money I every spent on a rope. It exceeded my expectations. I pulled down a good sized 30 foot tree leaning badley towards my shed. My chainsaw cut was bad and the tree was on a hill...This rope along with my truck safely put it on the ground. 150feet is long enough. Rope didn't stretch, kink or fray. Tieing simple slip knots or bow knots is easy. The 1/2 size diameter is perfect for light logging in a backyards. Money well spent. Only con was un-coiling it when it came in the box. For the life of me it got so tangled. Could of been me though. ... show more

  • We get what we pay for.
Size: 150ft-Red
If you plan on using a descending device, plan on not making it to the ground. I pulled 3.5’ of excess jacket off this rope. Prior to doing this, the jacket bunched up, stopping my decent. Used a rope wrench and Akimbo. For what you pay and the time it’ll take to remove excess jacket, it’s ok rope.
