Used this item as a means to install amateur radio wire antennas in trees. I have been about to throw lines up to 55 feet easily. Haven't tried higher as there are no taller trees to test. Have had the weight fall onto pavement and concrete and has not split or damaged the bag. Found that with practice, the first throw is usually good with no repeats needed. I carry the kit in a 5-gallon bucket with loose line that easily threads out upon throws. Have not had the line get stuck on any of my attempts and quickly use it to thread Dacron rope up and into the tree.
