It's a battery, and as long as you have a basic understanding of how to solder and work with electronics, this is easy to install, but make sure you find the correct video for your headset. The battery in my son's A50s was not in the microphone side of the headset.

this was my first time i had to have my battery replaced....now this battery works but trying to strip wire cover it was a bit annoying...the wires were not even length.....i used electrical tape twitch the wires together but heres my problem if they know the wires are easy to break they should make them longer to leave more room incase wire snaps when removing the cover of the wire.... the screw driver barely grabbed the screw and was bigger than the screw caused some wear on the screw signs of possible damage from the cheap screw driver. i dont recommend this to a noobie repair tech if you dont have a soldering tools this will be a challenge... note the wire cover removal tool doesnt work well i had to get a razor blade to insure that i was cutting the cover and not breaking the wire i need to but the tool didnt break the cover every time it would break the wires and not the cover long story sum up the battery works with astro a50 GEN4 but the quality of the wires questionable ... show more

My mic would die at random times and turn on for like 2 minutes then die again, this is so far as fixed any issues I've had also battery had good voltage

This is a difficult battery to find. It fits perfectly and is the same mah as the original. You do have to solder the connector from the old battery onto the new battery or solder directly to the board. It arrived with an acceptable storage charge. Do not cut pad, lift it up on the four corners where the screws are. It will settle back done where it needs to be when done. I didn’t need to glue. I already had screw drivers the included one looks cheap. You don’t need to spend hundreds on a new set just because the battery wears out!. ... show more
