I absolutely love this rug. I have dark wood floors, and this soft jute/wool-style rug instantly brightened the entire space and made it feel so cozy. Yes, it does shed a bit, just like other reviews mentioned but honestly, it’s nothing dramatic and definitely not a deal-breaker. This rug is 100% WOOL. It’s a natural fiber. In addition to being wool, it’s a POPCORN rug, like sewn dryer balls. They shed. Wool sheds more for the first month or two. It needs to be vacuumed frequently when you first get it and definitely WITHOUT a brush. With wool rugs, I use a good pad to reduce the friction on the rug, this also helps reduce the overall shedding, but understand that it is going to shed a bit, especially when you first get it. Because it’s wool, these are not rugs that you can steam clean and can be difficult to clean in general, be aware that if you have kids or pets that have accidents in the house this probably might not be the rug for you. That said, it is a stunning rug. I did see another in store this size which was just shy of $1000. I noticed that it says it’s good for high traffic areas which this type of rug rarely is, however; I have mine in my entryway. I live in Arizona, so I am not concerned about anyone dragging mud, snow or anything else onto the rug. I have a patterned and colorful Ruggable in my living room, which is adjacent to my entry so I wanted something that was not a focal point and was similar in tone to my tile. This is it! I’ll attach pictures, the lighting is not good today so colors may be off …and the reason why my rug is large in the entry is because it’s covering a granite inlay that I cannot stand. The rug is extraordinarily soft under foot and because it’s made of the popcorn balls. It just feels like you’re walking on a highly cushion surface. I love it!!!! So pretty. ... show more

Purchased 2 of the same rug different sizes for my vacation home. Purchased in May and just returned in July. Initially, impressed with the look and feel of rugs as well as $$$ price point but that's where the nightmare of these rugs begins 😲 Literally, the worst shedding rugs I have ever purchased-ever. !! Layers & layers of fuzzy hair sheds EVERYWHERE, everyday, and never stops! Shedding fuzz literally layers and accumulates within seconds- in the air, on your socks, on dog toys, all over the floors- everywhere! When vacuumed, yhe cannuster is dyson is filled to the top-yuck! OMG the worst rugs ever-do not buy!! Also, my allergies 🤧 are worse in our master bedroom where one of the rugs resides as well and the smell of the rug just isnt right-like sort of a 'wet but now dry dog hair smell'. Not sure what these rugs are made of but they are just the worse..what are they made of??? Purchased prior to leaving my 2nd home in May of 2024. Explained to Amazon I just returned for vacation and the rooms these rugs are in is covered by shedding everywhere- I wasn't even here for one month so the rugs had no traffic-yuck!!! Deeply dissatisfied with the rugs and want to return these chorrible rugs as well as well as receive my refund in full. Contacted the company S & L and hope to hear back soon. ... show more

No joke it does shed A LOT, but it's incredibly soft underfoot, feels great to walk on, and it's 100% wool so I'm willing to vacuum. Gets lots of compliments. No icky wool smell and even with sensitive skin I am able to lay right on the rug with no problems.

Edit: 6 months in, she's still shedding but looks full. Hard to vacuum up crumbs and such from crevices between the poofs. Absolutely 100% better suited for a low traffic area, like guest room. Knocking off a star because the shedding is a nuisance at this point. Original: Plush and pretty, but she does indeed shed quite a lot. We’ve had it for two months and notice that we find ourselves needing to sweep up the shedding every few days as anticipated - however, the rug itself still looks and feels plush. I bought this rug for my baby’s nursery. It looks stylish and feels very soft and comfortable underfoot, but unfortunately, it sheds like crazy. Everyone in our family is constantly covered in fibers - it honestly feels like we have a huge, fluffy dog living in the house! The fibers get all over our clothes and the floor, no matter how often we vacuum. I really like the look and feel of the rug, but the amount of shedding is extremely frustrating, especially for a nursery.
