We used plastic cutting board and as we know knifes cuts in to the plastic and the microplastics particles become part of the food and ultimately health issues. The cutting board I received wasn’t titanium. Since at least the time of Archimedes people have been checking metals by their density. Titanium’s density is about 0.163 lb/cu in. 304 stainless steel’s density is about 0.286 lb/cu in. I measured the cutting board to be about 10.75 x 15.75 x .05 inches, for a volume of a little less than 8.5 cu in (a little less because I didn’t account for the rounded corners or the handle cutout). If it was titanium, it should weigh a little less than 0.163x8.5=1.4 lbs. If it is stainless, it should weigh a little less than 0.286x8.5=2.4 lbs. When we put it on the scale it weighed in at 2.1 lbs. Definitely not titanium. I can’t say whether the seller is falsely misrepresenting what it is made of or if they are getting scammed by their supplier, but someone isn’t telling the truth.
