    • Nice lend
Style: For Leica L
I took a chance with this lens and was pleasantly surprised. The image quality is great and the build quality is excellent. All my other lenses are Leica and I’m accustomed to great build and IQ, so when I heard Leica was going to rebrand this lens (at probability 3x the price) I figured it was a good bet. ... show more

    • A Leica quality level lens

A brilliant sharp lens with great color. Most appropriate that it comes in a Leica mount

    • Not compatible with a critical feature in the Lumix S-series cameras!
Style: For Leica L
This a a decent lens. My utility for this type of lens is purely as a long focal length, variable prime lens using manual focus. To manual focus precisely, the lens focus control must be able to function in linear fashion, not non-linear fashion. Precise focus pulls with a follow focus rig must have linear focus control The Lumix S5MIIx menu will allow either linear or non-linear IF a Lumix lens is used. Linear is grayed-out/not supported with the Sigma. I switched to the Lumix 70mm -300mm zoom, and it works beautifully (and, frankly, it's noticeably sharper at the long end on fine detail like a far distant tree line than the Sigma. Just sayin'). ... show more

    • Order the correct model for your camera.
Style: For Leica L
I ordered the wrong mount version so when I saw that I didn't even open the box. Sigma 100-400 seems to be a great lens from all the reviews. If you get the one that fits your camera. :) I have it 4 stars based on reviews & Amazon's help desk. Thanks to Amazon's great return process, I have the correct model arriving in a couple days. I'll post a review with some photos then. ... show more
