The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that there are very minor imperfections. This item is more for people who like that they can tell an item is handmade and not mass produced in a factory. The minor imperfections are not something that majority of people would notice. The shape of the items are perfect just a finish was slightly messy on the very bottom of the item, I felt a bump, and the handle for the casserole dish is slightly turned off center. Otherwise the matte black is a gorgeous color and everything came intact. There's a nice weight to everything and the kit is great for a first start for all the glassware you may need for your first apartment or home. But that's not a problem because it keeps us from knocking anything out of them when eating.
