I have added this Lanbena Acne Treatment to my facial skin care routine and have not suffered any adverse reactions. The ingredients seem very natural and this has helped me as well as my daughter with some breakouts. I simply drop a 2-3 drops on my fingertips and rub into my face before applying my moisturizer...one with SPF during the mornings if I'm going out. Seems to keep things at bay, for both me and my daughter...so far so good. We'll continue using this until the product runs low and will access then if we should reorder. So many different products out there worth trying. So far this is a contender, given that this is intended for sensitive skin and has helped keep our breakouts at bay, but the price is a bit steep.

Very gentle, and does help to keep breakouts at bay with regular use, and help clear up any that popped up. It helped clear small yet painful red whitehead bumps, and calm larger more cystic painful bumps felt popping up, lessening duration and redness. I have dry, sensitive, and maturing skin, and the serum did not cause any extra dryness, peeling, redness, or irritations. Easily absorbed, leaves skin soft, not very tacky. I use and usually have good results overall with centella asiatica containing products, and this is one I will keep on board. I am pleased with this product.

I got this serum for my preteen daughter who's all about skincare. She's been experiencing breakouts and I wanted to get her something that may help with them. The serum comes in a 1 oz bottle with a dropper top. It arrives in a cardboard box with all the important information on the outside. The directions are simple to follow which makes it easy to add to your skincare routine. The product itself is lightweight and absorbs well into the skin. It doesn't have a noticeable scent and feels refreshing when used after cleansing. My daughter loves the way this serum feels and is hopeful it will help with her breakouts. As with most products like this, results take time. She hasn't noticed a significant difference yet but is enjoying the way it makes her skin feel.

Before going into my review, I want to point out that the product description is misleading. It claims 10% salicylic acid when in fact, the active ingredient in this serum is salicin found in willow bark extract, NOT salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is the metabolized derivative of salicin, so while they're related, there's a difference. Salicin found in willow bark is less effective when it comes to skin exfoliation and rejuvenation. But its anti-inflammatory and antioxidative properties can be as effective as salicylic acid, only without the irritation. Studies have found that even at a level of 100% (which is equivalent to a 10% formulation of salicylic acid) salicin is milder and more suitable for those with sensitive skin. I've found that to be the case with this serum. I have acne-prone skin that's also sensitive, so I have to be careful when it comes to harsh ingredients that strip away oils, leading to my skin producing even more oil to compensate. This serum has been effective for keeping my hormonal acne at bay without causing irritation and excessive dryness. It does take consistent use to see results though. I've found my other skin care products that contain actual salicylic acid to be faster acting and better for spot treatment, albeit more drying. So it's a compromise for me.

This face serum consists of many natural and useful plant extracts, as under: Aqua, Lactobacillus/Solanum Lycopersicum Fruit Ferment Extract, Passiflora Incarnata Extract, Peg/Ppg-17/6 Copolymer, Bis-Peg-15 Methyl Ether Dimethicone, Sodium Acrylate Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Bisabolol, Madecassoside, Lactobacillus/Pear Juice Ferment Filtrate, Phellodendron amurense bark extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Protein, Remannia Chinensis Root Extract, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, o-Cymen-5-OL, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Sanguisorba Officinalis Root Extract, Hexylene Glycol, Hydroxyacetophenone Polyquaternium-73. I have been using this facial serum as per the instructions and observed that there were no side effects like irritation or skin allergy or rash. It has a mild smell, which is okay. It has moisturized my facial skin and gave a nice soothing and calming effect. I also feel that it has some positive effect on controlling my acne. I expect better results in the long run. Though the specific concentrations of each ingredient or the percentages were not mentioned, all the ingredients used are very useful to the skin, and I understand that: Lactobacillus/Solanum lycopersicum fruit ferment extract is a probiotic ingredient that helps balance the skin's microbiome, potentially improving the overall health and appearance of the skin. Passiflora incarnata extract is rich in antioxidants, which would help protect the skin from environmental damage and premature aging. Bisabolol has anti-inflammatory properties and would help soothe irritated or sensitive skin. Madecassoside is a compound derived from Centella asiatica that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effects on the skin. Phellodendron amurense bark extract has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and helps control oil production in the skin. Salix alba (willow) bark extract contains salicylic acid, which helps exfoliate the skin and unclog pores, potentially improving acne-prone skin. Houttuynia cordata extract has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and helps soothe irritated skin. Glycine soja (soybean) protein helps improve skin elasticity and firmness. Remannia chinensis root extract has antioxidant properties and would help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
