First of all everybody has different skin and this product might work different for you. The pads leaves your face feeling surprisingly moisturized, as glycolic acids is one of the most moisturizing bha out there. I apply it night after I wash my face , no burning , itch , or discomfort. I have a few hyperpigmentation spots(3-5) and I have noticed a definite quick improvement on that as well as softness and smoothness. The waffle shape of the pads might be somewhat of the gimmick, because even though the description specifies that it helps with exfoliation, it is not needed because the salicylic and glycolic acid already exfoliate. However this is not a problem and I do find the waffle shape more satisfying, almost like a massage to my skin. The pads are soaking wet, (maybe the waffle shape helps it absorb more solution) I usually rub it on my face until the pad it somewhat dry for about 1-2 minutes. The other ingredients are soothing and calming for acne such as the vitamin b5,green tea extract, witch hazel, and calendula extract. Overall the pads are very effective at combating acne , the best pads I have used . I use them every day because I have oily skin and really tolerant skin. I suggest to start of with a few times a week at first. ( I know its long) I am no expert but I research a lot on skin and products. So I decided to look into similar products on Amazon and this one is by far the best one in terms of quality and ingredients. One popular version I came upon was the replenix alternative which is a cheaper option, what's the drawback? It has acetone, as an ingredient, yes that same chemical used to dissolve nail polish. I just like to warn people to actually pay attention to ingredients and to do their own research. Also I see thousands of reviews on a lot of other products , saying that they broke out the next day after using a product. Which is completely false as it takes a pimple at least 1 to 2 weeks to form. So when buying acne products use them for at least 2 weeks before discarding them . This is a problem I see too often. Furthermore getting a few a pimples the following day after trying something new is not always a bad thing . The product could be simply be drawing pimples to the surface( pimples you didnt even know you had) , to heal faster and prevent it from popping underneath the skin or becoming a cyst. Like many people I spent hundreds of dollars on products that didnt work, what I learned is that u will never truly solve the problem, if you not even KNOW how the problem works, what it does , why it does that, when it does that, and to who it predominantly affects.     • The only thing that worked to stop my acne after literally EVERYTHING else.
I very rarely write reviews for products but I feel compelled to write one about this. I am a 29 year old male with face that can grow a full beard. I hated shaving for ever because I would always cut myself on the acne. I have had acne since I hit puberty and it never went away. Everyone kept saying, "You'll just grow out of it." I am 29. I AM DONE. I was actually done a while ago and when I was 23 I did Acutane. If you know what that is and are considering it, try this item first. I wish I would have. I don't have any side effects that I know of from the Acutane, but it is a heavy gun. And at the time I was having acne in my arm pits, all over my back, etc and it was excruciatingly painful. Acutane cured up all of that (so still worth it for those issues), but I was still left with an odd redness on my chin and acne on face. I also am prone to ingrown hairs and occasionally get a pilonidal cyst. I went to the dermatologists, literally all of them in the UT area. For the redness on my chin I was put into "Grand Rounds" which is basically held at the University of Utah and a bunch of dermatologists all get together once a month and talk about their most difficult cases. Prior to Grand Rounds, they couldn't diagnosis the issue. They said it ultimately seemed like some feliculits issue that was caused by they didn't know what. They had a biopsy done, they scraped it and tried to grow bacteria colonies and fungal conlonies. NOTHING. Everything came up negative but I still was left with a red chin that I didn't have pre Acutane. For the rest of the acne they just told me to try the benozly creams, and I can't tell you how many other ones. I tried oral anti-biotics which I hated. Had been on them and only ever upset my stomach for a short period of relieve from acne--not worth it. Nothing was working. My husband did some quick googling, something I had given up on since, you know, I HAD BEEN TO GRAND ROUNDS and even they couldn't help me. Well, he convinced me to try these pads. I did. The first night I had shaved and washed my face, then applied the pad and I felt like my face was going to burn off for 30 minutes. It eased after 30 mins, but definitely be careful if you don't have a high pain tolerance. I noticed the next morning substantially less new acne than from like any night before. I also fell it is important to note that I am very clean. I wash bed sheets and towels regularly and do my absolute best to not touch my face. Continuing, I kept applying the pads and rather abruptly my face started to clear up. I was still washing my face morning and night. The only change was these pads. I can now say I am 29 and for the first time since puberty I have a clear face. These pads truly worked for me. It is crazy. I have a little redness, but that I can tell is going away. No more white heads! Just clear skin. I can shave and not look like I went to see an evil barber. I sleep better. My face doesn't hurt! I had forgotten what this feels like. If you are struggling with acne, try these pads. Use them daily. Best money you will spend on facial product ever. I am literally going to send this to my past Dermatologists with this review as I dumped well over $2,000 them figuring it out and they couldn't. I feel the reason this works so well is that it stays on your face over night. When you wash your face, that cleans it for the moment, but your face immediately starts producing oils and bacteria, etc. Over night that was enough time for new acne to develop. By this staying on my face overnight, it keeps the bacteria down and moisturizes my skin. It works! My dermatologists recommended tube of face wash with 2% salicylic acid + 2% glycolic acid was almost out and I didn't feel like paying such a ridiculous price for a refill so I thought I would find something else. After looking at many similar products, I decided to try this one. There were a lot of cheaper ones from no name brands but QRxLabs has a web presence and appears to have been around for a long time so that gave me confidence to try this one with 2% SA and 10% GA. I was a little afraid the way higher percentage of GA might be too much for my face so I started out slow and only used a pad before bed every few days. I would say I have average skin with average sensitivity and had no issues with the much higher strength of GA and moved to nightly use after a week. Each pad is very wet and has a lot of product on it. I'm almost through my first jar and the remaining few pads are still very moist. The pads do not dry out towards the bottom of the jar which is great since even some of my prescription pads dry out at the bottom. After wiping your face with a pad, it does leave your face with a thick wet and slightly sticky feeling. It took me a little while to get used to but I go right to bed afterwards so it isn't really much of a bother. After a few weeks of use, I happened to randomly feel my cheekbones and was surprised how much softer and smoother they felt which I'm assuming is from the use of the higher level of GA. I still get an occasional pimple but I also did with my dermatologists face wash so the same 2% SA seems to be working the same. I have no dryness of skin after using these for a while.
