Works on a 2008 Jeep! You do not need a wiring harness, but it’s nice to have a wiring harness - which is sold separately. I purchased a separate kit for my Jeep and it came with everything I needed for only 26 dollars. Antenna adapter Wiring harness, Face plate Splices I did have to get creative with the mount for it since the big screen made it impossible to mount the screen to the cage and the cage to the car. But the separate kit I bought made it possible. Once it connects to my phone, the sound is great. Screen looks great. Touch screen is nice, not as responsive as a Tesla, more like an ATM. Screen boots up quickly, and shuts off quickly. Great value for the money.

Worked great for 6 weeks. Now it is not returnable. It will not power on at all. All of the wiring is correct and verified. (I installed car audio for 10yrs). Avoid this thing.

Best birthday present ever. The instructions are very easy to understand. Very good quality. I replaced the radio in my car with this and my fiance loves it. So I decided to get one for his car for his birthday. The sound quality in this receiver is wonderful. The touch screen makes it very easy to use. And Congress with a backup camera. That is very helpful when backing into small spaces. I can't wait until he sees his new receiver :)

This infotainment system is a fantastic way to add the modern features of high-end vehicles into older model cars/trucks. I have never owned a car with a modern center infotainment system and this product is a life changer. The android auto integration allows me to play music from youtube/spotify, have google maps functionality (mapping, object detection, etc.), and control content wirelessly. This is especially useful when driving in unfamiliar places where I could miss a turn. Instead of having to stop, take my phone out from a phone holder, and fix the route, I can now just reroute and select the best route using voice commands. The backup camera is also really helpful, especially in taller cars/trucks where you can’t always see directly behind the vehicle. This kit also includes an installation guide. At first, the installation seemed daunting but the installation guide made it much simpler. This kit truly modernizes older model vehicles for a relatively low price when compared to other infotainment systems like Tesla models.

Installed this in my 2008 Mercury Mountaineer (like a Ford Explorer) to replace my aging sync 1. The factory maps were out of date and the screen was getting dim. So I removed the original radio (I used you tube for instructions on the removal)...I had to order a Metra Dash kit & Wiring harness adapter. I soldered all the connections and then heat shrink wrapped them. This made it basically plug and play - no cutting or splicing the factory harnesses. I also ordered a steering wheel control kit for it as well so I could retain the factory settings. Pairing the radio with my iPhone was very easy as well. I can stream current google maps or whatever app you use for navigation directly on the radio screen. I can also stream music from Pandora, Sirius XM or whatever music app you like to use. The 10" screen is nice and bright and very responsive. The only thing I had noticed is that when I first turn the radio on it makes a crackling/thumping noise through the amplifier. Not sure why it does that? This radio was an affordable upgrade for my vehicle...Pretty happy with it so far. Quick update: it quit connecting to my iPhone both wirelessly and wired. I’m returning it for a replacement. I will keep the wiring harness so I don’t have to solder everything again. I hope it was just a faulty radio unit.

The unit itself is very nice so far. Except the mounting bracket is very cheesy and I had to modify it to work on my E350 and have it moderately theft proof. When I ordered it it said it would fit an E350 super duty the video cable was too short and I had to buy an extension. The wiring harness was not plug and play and there was not an adapter harness in the package so I had to rewire the harness to my old plug. If you don't have any electrical experience I would not try to tackle that unit. There was some links where you could buy an adapter plug but I didn't see anything on all three of the links that was suitable. I would rate installation as moderately difficult. Definitely not plug and play in 5 minutes. I did bench test the unit before I attempted installation. The backup camera mounting brackets is a little cheesy flimsy but it mounted okay and the clarity seems pretty good. The quality of the radio is good. Boot up time was a little slow The hands-free interface is slow and there is a little bit of lag but that might be because of my phone. But for the price I cannot complain.

Radio works great. The microphone sounds clear when talking to someone and, the camera works perfectly. The screen is also a very nice size for my truck. My phone connects within a few seconds so using android auto has been easy. Unlike some radios that you have to connect your phone with the wire, this one connects quickly via Bluetooth. I've had it a few months and its definitely been worth it.

I was excited to see the product say it supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but now I'm over it. Setting up Apple CarPlay and Android Auto requires downloading 3rd party software that looks pretty sketchy. As another reviewer posted, it has mirroring capabilites through a 3rd party app, but I woupdn't trust it. This unit does not recognize USB A to USB C making newer phones obsolete in connecting. The bluetooth connection never worked. There is no channel tuner button for radio, just seek. Do yourself a favor and get a name brand like JVC, Sony, Kenwood or Panasonic.
