The screen is beautiful and CarPlay works great. Sound is good even though it uses the auxiliary input so the Audi goes Digital to Analogue then back to Digital for the amplifier because it is fiber optic and then back to analogue for the speakers. The equalization settings sound great. Only downside is that the home-screen is very basic and can't be modified too easily but I just have it go into CarPlay. Reverse cam works and HD radio as well as stock navigation if you wanted to use it. It looks OEM once installed and has two USB-A inputs that can be routed for charging and wired CarPlay. I use the wireless CarPlay. It has a video in too if you wanted to hook up a video source like a go-pro with video out or some other video source like a tablet with an RCA video out. Can hook up a different backup camera if you were so inclined. It has it's own bluetooth built in for the CarPlay. I am very happy with this and it has given my system new life!

Same review as similar unit I bought on Amazon. Different seller but Linux is and hardware same. Pricing is all little more for this unit. Read This before installing!!! This was installed into a 2012 Audi q5 with Mimi. Unit works good after the settings for the right vehicle are applied. I tried an android version of this same type of screen replacement and it was impossible to get mmi to map to the car. This one is a little easier with all the Audi functions in the menu so you just have to choose the right one out of 15 different options and it maps the can bus buttons to the unit. It doesn’t have as many pre installed apps like the android units but at least it works. Bluetooth audio is routed through the aux input. You have to have an an adapter plugged into the car so it recognize an available input to switch to but you don’t have to plug the headphone cable/aux in cable into the head unit. It’s routed internally. Bluetooth Audio sound like crap though. There’s a way to route it differently so it sound better but I haven’t figured that part out yet. I streamed the audio through CarPlay through the unit and then plugged in an external cable for the aux in to a/b the sound and its night and day. Also this is very important!!! Do not connect the wifi and do an update ota ( over the air) they have usb plugs for hardline updates. I’ve returned 3 of these units already cause I did the ota update. As soon as you hit the “update mcu” button, it tries to download a file then bricks itself. No amount of rebooting or hitting the side reset button will wake it up. It bricks itself with the ota update function. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…

Great overall product. Screen is good quality and really responsive. Boots up quickly when car is started and connects to phone quickly, haven't lost connection yet. Installation instructions are ok, not great. Ensure you have the AUX adapter required to connect to the Audi AUX MMI port, our Q5 port was located in the glove box. I removed from the glove box and routed to the back of the radio with the head phone jack. The head phone jack to Audi MMI aux is sold separately. Also pay attention that you have to change the MMI settings, this wasn't in the manual. It is noted in the pictures on this listing, too me awhile to find the correct setting. You will figure it out when you get everything connected an the screen works but none of the factory audio controls are working or lighting up. I followed the instructions regarding the ABS light and still had the ABS air bag light come on the dash. Now I need to purchase a Vagcom to reset the light $200, this is cheaper than taking it to the dealer or mechanic to reset the light. Unless you know someone with an high end scan tool. Great screen, highly recommend!

This is a really good unit! Flawlessly works with all the original car features. Carplay is a must for me and for the money you can't go wrong with this. I was looking into getting the RSNAV one for almost triple the cost and see no difference with this one. Had a technical issue after install (Settings problem) and customer service got back to me within the day. The install is very straight forward if you're inclined. Great product. Great customer service. Just buy it.

This system is not as described and has very low functionality, you might as well stay with the original system in the car... its just garbage no way of updating the firm ware the connection is janky AF. This is trash dontbwaste you money... I wish I had not paid to install it and returned it for a full refund... but alas now I am stuck with it unless I spend even more money to have the original system placed back... look for a better system and avoid this at all cost... update neither Amazon nor the manufacturer will help you with this product it's an amazing waste of money that will destroy your car.
