This cabinet came packaged well, with multiple layers of cardboard, styrofoam (not too much), and bubble wrap, and while heavy, was easy enough to unpack and take inventory of. The instructions for assembly are clear enough, and they do offer a QR code for an instructional video, though I didn't feel the need to view it. Assembly was a little challenging alone - it would be much easier with 2 people, and in a well-lit space, as the interior of the cabinet gets very dark once it starts closing up. By myself, and with a couple troubleshooting sessions, it took me about 30 minutes total to get it complete. The first thing you notice is that the door is very heavy duty, with rolled steel bars typically found in actual gun safes. The rest of the body is thin gauge powdercoated metal - still secure, but not safe material. This is truly a gun cabinet - not meant to protect from fire. Once assembled and secured to a wall, it offers a securely locked space for guns. I like the electronic access panel, and the options to use a key, a pass code, or a fingerprint to get into the safe. Once batteries are in place, setting up the pass code and fingerprint access is simple, and works quite well. I'm not a huge fan of the handle design, but it does open the door easily enough. The inside of the cabinet is laid out well. The gun rests can be adjusted in height, and moved to the sides or back, as-needed. The removable shelf is useful, and I like that it takes up the whole length and width of the cabinet so items cannot fall off. 3 pistol carriers in the door are a nice touch, too. This is a well-thought out cabinet, and offers security and convenience at a great price.

Cabinet arrived unassembled as described and is simply put together with #10-32 screws. Walls are thin metal and the top and bottom are only held on with 4 screws. Access to this cabinet would be easy with a pair of tin snips or a Sawzall. This cabinet will work great to store ammo and parts and would be ok to keep your firearms out of the hands of little ones. I might even put a few of my less expensive firearms in this cabinet just to keep them out of the hands of the grandbabies. For security however, this cabinet is no more secure than my refrigerator. The door of the cabinet is heavy, has numerous 1" bolts holding the door closed, has a numeric key pad, a finger print reader, and a keyway to open the door with the emergency key. However I think I could defeat the bolts and lock on this cabinet in about 60 seconds with a flatbar, large screwdriver, or maybe even a claw hammer. This is NOT A SAFE!!! It offers no protection except keeping babies out of your firearms. For the purpose of keeping your babies away from your firearms this cabinet works great, however it's not a safe and representing it as such will draw a heavy debit on the star rating. A Stack-On cabinet it just as good and I don't think they are as pricey as this one. Be sure to shop before you buy!!

Okay with duplicate sides that did not fit together. Had to totally repack it and send it back. What a pain in the butt.

The product title is correct in that it is a gun cabinet, and absolutely not a gun safe. Gun safes though much more secure and usually rated for fires, are not impenetrable. This product on the other hand, is more like a school locker then a gun safe. Assembly of this product is pretty straightforward and should not take more than an hour to put together. The whole package is a bit on the heavy side, but it's not annoying to move around as an assembled product. At this price, it offers pretty good quality and size. It'll do the job to keep most people out, but it someone does want to get into it, it is still probably going to happen.

It’s more a cabinet than a safe. But if they don’t have tools it be hard to get into. There’s ways you can harden and even fireproof this yourself and if that’s what you want to do it is pretty easy. I enjoy the ability to move it and mount, the key in options all work and it’s just enough to store a good amount of items.

Assembling this you are immediately thinking just how easy it would be to break into this "safe." It's more like a locked cabinet. Will it keep your firearms out of the hands of little ones? Yes. So, to that end, it might be a safe. But if you're looking for any kind of security or even fire protection for your firearms or anything else, this isn't the solution. A crowbar will make short work of this. A Sawzall will get this open in under a minute. That said, if you're looking for the lightest protection possible at the cheapest price, then this might work for you.
