So I live in Florida, and my home AC isn't working the best right now, blowing hot air and all. So I bought this "Lifemaster LMPAC10 10,000 BTU Air Conditioner" AC for my room and its been a LIFESAVER. It blows strong and cold air, and compared to two other ac units I've used, this one blows stronger and makes no condensation which is a huge plus. One of the other ac units I've used makes so much water that I had to drain it every few hours. This one reuses the condensation to cool off the condenser so you can use it all day long, check the drain port, and literally nothing comes out. That fact alone makes this ac better than some others you will see here. The size of the AC is another good thing, I have used others that blow less air and are way heavier and wider than this one. This ac is a simple cube and doesn't take up too much space. It has your usual cool, fan, and dry modes. I never use dry mode really, just cool and fan, and I usually have it on low unless its really hot and needs to be on high. While this ac doesn't have wifi, it does have a timer function and I do use that when I go to work and know how long I'll be out the house for (so I can set it to turn on by the time I'm back home) or set it to stay on for an hour or two when I go to bed so it can turn off while I sleep. The filter barely gets dirty at all but I check on it every 2 or 3 weeks. Remote works well and has a built in screen which is nice, so you can see what the setting of the ac is on. It works well for about half the square footage advertised—which is all we need. It definitely cools the area in front of the unit, although if you walk past it there is no cooling. Would like it to cool a little better, but it’s adequate and worth the money. Update: after working with Customer Service with the company and Amazon I couldn’t resolve the missing part issue. I needed to spend an additional $49 to order the parts on Amazon. I spent hours trying to resolve until finally giving up. Just pass on this unless you’re sure that you’ll receive a fully functioning unit. Amazon customer service say they cannot help with replacement parts. UPDATE: I may have given too much credit to the company. I am now learning that since I contacted them (over a week ago) they have not taken any steps to resolve my issue. The last email stated that it may be faster for me to work with Amazon on the replacement part. Meanwhile it's HOT!!! Original review: I love the size of this unit. It's not big or bulky and fits nicely in tight spaces. Unfortunately, I was missing an essential part but LifeMaster is correcting that for me.
