I got my till fast and in great condition from shipping. It also included a little pouch with an extendable metal thing that looked like one of those old am/fm collapsible antennas from the 70’s and 80’s. I messaged the seller and they explained it’s used to extend and blow through the tube to make a small fire grow. What a thoughtful and useful gift to add to my purchase. And YES the drill bit is really sharp! I love it can’t wait to make my bushcraft log cabin.

Was not as easy to use on oak wood as seen on social media videos. requires a bit too much effort and it is usually difficult to find a sturdy stick to assist with pushing down and rotating it manually. I guess it could work ok if in the woods and you find soft logs to drill into.

The auger is not at all sharp, and as such, it does not work on old, pithy wood. Otherwise, length and size are fine, and it works ok on perfectly seasoned wood. But get the Dremel or a file out to sharpen first.

These tools are a must if you’re into bushcrafting. Hone your skills with this little jewel. It’s very well made and it comes with a sheath and a blow tool to help get a fire going in a small space such as with a rocket stove made out of a log. It’s a great tool to have in your arsenal of supplies for woodworking or bushcrafting. I think you will be pleased. My advice on the tip is to tap the beginning of your entry point with a nail first so the auger enters more easily. As with any tool especially with this type of tip could risk being broken with excessive force or pressure. Take care of your tools and they’ll take care of you! Nice product! I’d definitely recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻
