These are super thick and perfect if you have JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) battery terminals that are smaller "pencil posts" and a regular (SAE) sized battery clamps. There are no other ways to make this conversion and these are a the only shims thick enough to make it work. They would definitely be way too thick if you are just looking to shim a loose SAE battery connection. Buy the thinner ones for those.

These are tiny and might work well on a motorcycle battery. I tried to expand them to fit my car battery and it was nearly impossible. I cut some slits in them with a dremel and then the clamp wouldn't take the post. Too thick. Waste of time and money. Battery shims I've bought in the past slid right on the post. Not these.

These shims are not the correct circumference for CAR battery posts. They were too tight. But they were thick enough to file down. This made them pliable to use them as they were designed. I used a small spud bar with a conical end, tapped the shim with a wooden mallet to keep its shape and it stretched out fine. For the $ and ten minutes of rethinking it worked out fine. Of course, It was way too much trouble. But lemons make lemonade.

This is a review of the SMILFUY battery post shims. This came as a set of 4 (2 pair as advertised) and are made of a cone shaped, soft lead material. The shape allows easy application over the battery posts, and the softness of the lead allows the shim to form and tighten the battery clamps that would otherwise be loose.

Ridiculous and completely useless. These “shims” are too small. Smaller than the battery terminal and too thick. As is being too thick, they won’t work under a battery clamp as it will take up too much space on maybe half a side of the terminal and make for poor contact and unable to secure the factory clamp without deforming it. Useless junk.
