Description

This kit helps mount batteries in the trunk and holds batteries up to 12" long. It includes a plastic battery case molded from polyethylene, battery hold-down and brackets, 20-ft of 2 gauge stranded copper battery cable, 4 lugs, a pair of cable ends, and hardware. The case measures 12" x 6-3/4" x 10" high.

    • Fits most batteries, but too flexible.
First off, it works for containing the battery in a place other than where it was originally intended to live. The problem with the box is tha tit is too flexible, so when I installed it in a slightly un-level mounting spot, the box warped and the lid has difficulty fitting completely on top. They did think of this and a tie down strap for the lid is included, but it would have been nicer if the box itself had some rigidity across the bottom. Additionally 20' of cable was about 5' too short for relocating the battery to the back of a 1989 Toyota Celica, which is a very small car. I would suggest purchasing additional cable when you buy this kit if you have a car that is larger and have not removed the interior. ... show more

The directions are terrible. There is almost no mention of the box in the kit; it just focuses on the bracket. It does not tell you if you should run the hold down bolts on the outside or inside of the box, nor how to attach them to the bracket should you run them on the outside. Also the bracket bolts for holding down the battery are insanely long. Right now, They extend well past the holes I drilled to the point that there is no threading. Its like this kit is made for extremely large batteries. This kit requires significant adjustments just to make it work. ... show more

My husband got this for is for his Acura Legend to make room in the engine bay for a turbo system. There was plenty of wire and it fits nicely in the back of the car.

    • Amazing quality product, and works as advertised!
I used this in my S15 Silvia, when I was racing in Japan. It cleaned up my engine bay so I could redo my intake for track only use, and I could tell the distributed weight moved to the rear- which I believe helped to mildly improve traction. Cant beat the price here!
