These spacer rings fit the bill perfectly! After making a custom plastic adaptor plate for my Subaru Forester I still needed 1 inch of additional depth to clear the window when in the down position. For the price I couldn't justify making them out of plastic material and wasn't going to use wood inside the door of my car. Hell I would have had more in time cutting them out of wood anyways. These rings fit the Dayton RS225-4 speakers but the holes don't line up. The plastic of these rings is very thick and easy to drill for screws. I have been professionally installing audio equipment for close to 20 years and these rings are a great time saver and made out of material that will withstand the mobile environment. ... show more

It's a round plastic ring, I love it, before installed in my ,,,so the plastic speaker ring holds the speaker out 1.25" from the mounting surface. It's a beautiful thing.
