I was expecting a 3rd party Ring compatible *new* battery and I received a used dinged up Ring branded battery. This battery looks worse than the original 4 year old battery that I was replacing. I let it charge overnight and plugged it in this morning to our doorbell and the doorbell doesn't power on at all. There's a very slim chance someone returned their old battery, and if so, I would place the blame on quality control for returns. Not happy. ... show more

    • Perfect replacement for OEM
After 7 years the original Video Doorbell 2 battery lost it's ability to hold a charge. After this replacement arrived, I charged it with a USB cable all night. A month and a half later it's working just as well as the OEM battery did, staying 100% charged off of the doorbell transformer.

I was tired of losing the use of my Ring doorbell for hours every time I had to recharge the battery. I've mounted solar panels for my two Ring Sick Up Cameras but that isn't an option for the doorbell. I ran across this battery while browsing Amazon during Black Friday week.
