I had to look back at my orders to see if I knew I was getting only one piece because I swear it was for two but that was a different seller. So I received one piece of poplar wood that measured 6”x12” and it is ready to work with. It’s perfectly finished for me to use. I might need to order another piece to make sure I have enough to make the project I’ve got in mind to create and with this beautiful piece of wood I have a good start on what I decide to create and I’m going to attempt to cut it out with my scroll saw. It’s awesome to be able to purchase a perfect piece of wood for a project that is in my mind to create something that doesn’t cost a fortune to try it so I’m grateful for sellers being here on Amazon for me to purchase the wood for my ideas for a reasonable cost and Amazon is great for everyone involved. These were clearly milled from the same piece of wood and you can tell there was a split going through it before someone cut it in half. The portion of the crack going through the piece on the left goes from end to end and lacks tensile strength, so I basically have a 6” wide usable board instead of the 8” I wanted. The crack continues into the next piece, but only for a couple of inches, so that piece is still pretty usable for me. I am pleased that these are hardly warped at all. While these boards are still in tact and technically in one piece, I do feel like the weak spot on the left board is super obvious to both touch and eyeballs within two seconds, and it never should’ve been packaged.
