This was purchased for a second hand job site table saw. It locks tightly in place and allows for ample blade room - perhaps too much! Even with a shop vac on the dust collection it allows a lot of dust to blow back into your face when cutting narrower pieces.

    • A good price.... Relatively speaking.
I want to give this a one star review, because it *insert naughty word here* me off that Ryobi makes the throat plate out of plastic, and that it is engineered in such a way as to make it effectively impossible to strengthen personally.... nor is there an upgrade available for purchase. However..... none of that is the fault of the vendor, who sold me THIS one (regardless of what we actually think about it) cheaper than anyone else was selling it for. For THAT, I give them 5 stars. But if anyone out there knows where I can get a replacement made out of metal, please let me know! :) UPDATE 9/29/23 I just bought a second one of these. It isn't that these are wearing out - it's just that they will only survive until the first cut goes wrong, which took a year to happen this time around. This one arrived just a little bit too long - maybe a millimeter; just enough to make it not want to lay flat. This was an easy enough fix - as another reviewer pointed out, being plastic it was no problem sanding enough off to make it a perfect fit. Still... you pay $20 for a few ounces of plastic, is it too much to ask that the thing NOT need to be tweaked? For that, I'm deducting a star just on principle. ... show more

    • A bit too long
For my Ryobi RTS12, it was not a perfect fit. I had to use the belt sander on it just to get it in without bowing upward. It sits flat now, but one corner can be pulled up. The lock does stay engaged.

Not after market compatible. This did not fit and I had to sand it down a lot and it still didnt fir. Then it broke. I am nit sure buying it directly from the manufacturer would be better. This is the second one I bought. The first was from a dicompany it too did not fit.
