  • Got today, so far I'm thrilled!
So, these are the 4th Grips I've had to buy since getting my Quest 2 about 3 years ago. The last ones I purchased only lasted about 6 days (halo obstruction, broken parts, bad design, etc). But I'm really excited about these. They feel sturdy. Nice and thick in areas you know others have had weaknesses, and the fact that they come with rechargeable batteries was a great selling point for me. I spend way too much on AA's, so im excited and hopeful. I just finished putting them on the controllers, and important TIP!! *PUT THE HALOS ON FIRST!* The button top of the black grip goes OVER the halo. This information was not in the instructions book, because the halos aren't in there. So, please save yourself some time and frustration. Once I had the Right and Left situated (look at the bottom of the Grips, not only do they have R & L, but also colored red (left) and blue (right) ) getting everything set correctly was pretty easy. Another tip incase you miss it in the booklet, a solid red light means it charged, and a blinking light means charging. A little different from the Red (needs charged) and green/blue (charged) that many people are used to, but simple to learn and remember. The book also explains why you will only see your batteries charge to 80%. This is perfectly normal, and yes, they are fully charged. The batteries just differ from the originals and the headset doesn't compute that. They don't come with a charging block, just the cord, so you can use your VR block, or your USB port on your computer. Might even be able to use the headset port too if you have an external battery for your VR, but that's a test for another time (and not exactly practical lol) So far these are extremely comfortable, and the halos actually took a bit of meticulous placement, but im looking at that more of a plus. This makes me feel like they aren't going to fly off like the original ones. You have to (or should) make sure the edges are folded over the controllers all the way around. Takes a few extra minutes, but if it works the way I hope, it's well worth it. Another plus is there is ZERO interference with the triggers. Alot of the other Grips were too close (overlapping) to the triggers and they would get stuck. With these, smooth as butter. On the first day, I am going 5 stars. If this has any issues at all, I will revisit my review. But if you're reading this and it was posted weeks or months ago, everything has met or passed my expectations. ... show more

  • Simple: every vr user should get this
10/10 comfort, grip, protection, comes with double charger, lasts a long time with heavy use. This should be the very first thing you buy when you get a quest 2. In fact they need to release versions for every single VR system!

  • Pretty good - but some issues!
This set is pretty cheap, so I can't say I expected more. They are pretty good. The battery life is perfect for me -- an hour of use at a time and the battery is only depleted to usually 70-80%. Others are turned off by the need for frequent charging, but it doesn't bother me much. It's much better than buying + throwing away double A batteries every other week... The feel in the hand is great for me, but I am a man with hands that are slightly above average. If you have smaller hands, I would steer away from getting any sort of controller mod -- they will always make the controller at least a little bit thicker. My girlfriend has considerably smaller hands, and she definitely has more trouble wrapping her hands around these grips than she did with the stock controller. However, I think that this is pretty much a given, and you should expect that these will add some girth to the controllers. My only real issue is with consistency. My left controller looks great, but the right one is a little off. The battery door does not "click" closed inside the case, so the entire controller cover sags downward a little bit. It creates a little bit of odd tension at the top of the rubber case, so the rubber is not tightly pressed against the controller like it is on my left one. Regardless - it still makes contact and is able to charge, so it really isn't the biggest deal - it's just a little bit annoying. I've docked my review a star for this reason. All in all, this is a great controller mod to have. If you want your setup to look flawless, however, you might want to try another brand first to see if the fit is a little more consistent. These are definitely serviceable though, and I plan on recommending these to friends who are in the market for something similar! ... show more

  • Battery arrived not working
Left controller battery charges and works fine but right one wouldn't power on and only has a rapid flashing red light when plugged in and won't charge. Unfortunate since the grips themselves are pretty comfortable.

  • Perfect for athletic Quest 2 users!
I was looking to replace my existing grips, which were pretty good but had started to sag a bit after years of heavy use. My main criterion was grips that add some thickness to the controllers (I have large hands) and have a good anti-slip texture. I saw these, and although they're a bit more expensive than standard grips, they looked like the perfect replacement. Once I installed them, charged them up, and used them, I was blown away at how great they feel, how solid they are, and how comfortable. The straps are soft but sturdy with a clever adjustment mechanism, and the rechargeable batteries are excellent - I'll never have to take off the grips again. They also included silicone caps for the thumbsticks, which I wasn't expecting, and were terrific. I'd recommend these to anyone who uses their Quest to work out, they really transform the controllers into true, professional-level athletic equipment. ... show more
