After a month in Spain and their amazing gin and tonics...see Abadia in Bilboa with over 500 gins, I wanted really nice bulb glasses. The usual ones are too thick and frankly come off cheap! Not these...! Beautiful and incredible!

I purchased these in November and my last one broker yesterday. I never put in the dishwasher i always hand wash and they all broke and cut me up pretty bad. Waste of money is my opinon. I would look elsewhere - for those of you that have had luck that is great.

    • Modern But Elegant, “Chardonnay” But More Universal, Thin & Refined Yet Stronger Tritan Glass
Size: 6 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Chardonnay White Wine Glass
These are beautiful “Zwiesel Glas” Tritan crystal glasses made in Germany. This boxed set of 6 glasses (16.5 oz each) is labeled as a set of “Verbelle Chardonnay” glasses that are “For Professional Use”. The label doesn’t mention “Vervino Cabernet” as described in the current product listing. These are lead free crystal glasses with modern yet elegant lines. I love that these glasses are thin and refined but made of Tritan glass so they’re resistant to breaking, scratching and chipping. I’m really impressed with these glasses. The foot of each glass is etched with the Zwiesel Glas name and insignia. The thin glass has a brilliant shine and clarity, and I don’t see bubbles or imperfections. The glasses have tall, slender stems that feel refined in my hand. The rims are so thin and pleasing to drink from as they don’t disturb the flow of the wine. To my eye, these have a flatter base than a more traditional “U” shape glass and straighter, elongated walls with a high neck. The tall stems and glass shape are well designed to keep white wine cooler and direct the more subtle aromas of whites toward the nose. The box indicates these are varietal specific Chardonnay glasses and I have used them mostly for Chardonnay so far as that’s what my family enjoys most, but I’ve also used them for other whites and reds too. While a wine connoisseur may disagree, I love the shape and clean lines and am perfectly happy to use these as universal glasses. These have a lovely musical ring when tapped lightly. While I mostly hand wash these glasses as the rims are thin, they are dishwasher safe. It’s a great option when cleanup is daunting. Whether used as a varietal specific Chardonnay glass or a universal glass, I enjoy these glasses so much as I love the shape, thin glass and delicate feel combined with Tritan technology that makes them less fragile. I love these for personal and entertaining, and I think these would be a wonderful gift for the holidays and other occasions. 5 stars. ... show more

Buying glassware from amazon is always a gamble. I’ve had boxes of wine glasses show up rattling with the unfortunate sound of shattered glass. I’ve also gotten lucky a few times and ended up with quality glasses or a decanter. This set of versatile wine glasses falls into the latter category. These 6 glasses arrived perfectly intact, packed with care. And good thing, because they are very thin glasses, which to me has always been a sign of quality. The thinner the better. This makes them more prone to breaking than thicker glassware, but I think it’s well worth the trade off. The other thing I’ve noticed when buying glassware from Amazon is that sometimes the glasses are hilariously large, which is another mark of a low-quality product. These glasses are the perfect size. The kind of thing you’d expect to find at a high end restaurant or wine tasting bar or vineyard. They are intended for use with both reds and whites. The bowl is large enough for a hearty red but these work just as well for whites. The shape of the glasses is quite special. It’s just special enough that it feels like a departure from the standard wine glass shape. In other words, the unique shape feels like an intentional choice as opposed to some trick to try and stand out for the wrong reasons. I hope these glasses last years because I adore them. bought these at another seller and yes, as another purchaer mentioned, they are supposed to be dishwasher safe, but one day they will break in your hand when you CAREFULLY go to dry them . I am now looking for a replacement, as 6 of my 8 originals have broken over the past few years.
