I wanted quality without the pricetag. I wanted a classic feel without being boring, thin wine glasses for red wine. And I do NOT like the thick glass style that you can get at big box stores. These are PERFECT! I looked for a long time and I'm glad I didn't settle too soon because these are beautiful. They arrived well packaged in dense foam with a residue that allows them to shift in the packaging, which I suspect helped to prevent any kind of cracks or break. (They would otherwise shatter into a thousand pieces, I'm convinced.) Well done! The stems are a delight to hold and delicate, as is the glass. After using it I hand wash so I can control whose clumsy hands do not ever touch them. A drop of dish soap, some really hot water and I don't even need to pull out a scrubber. Easy peasy! Yes, they are fragile, but there are options for "daily glasses" if you don't want thin. I did. I'm careful in general and don't tend to break fragile things so it's fine for me. I just couldn't be happier. I have at least four different types of wine glasses in my cabinet and I finally found the one I'll actually use and be happy with. The wine even tastes better in these glasses as the shape allows the wine to bloom. Chef's kiss! If you're on the fence about which unbranded, quality red wine glasses to purchase, get them. Lovely glasses. Clean up is easy and no streaks to wipe away. I also like the wider base of the glasses, which makes them less likely to tip over. One arrived broken in the set of four, maybe due to rough handling by delivery person. Contacted seller who responded right away, and sent out a free replacement that I received two days later.
