  • Absolutely awesome for the price.
Size: V1 5-20x
The media could not be loaded. I started getting into Nighttime Hog-Hunting recently and needed something I could use to see in the dark. When thermals start around $1000 I knew I had to find an alternative. This night-vision scope was it. I am not a long range hunter, most of the plots I am hunting on are no more than 300 yards across. With this scope I had no issues seeing, in detail, across those fields in all light conditions. The IR illuminator light does everything I need it to do. The focus feature is nice, but honestly I have been able to see perfectly fine at distance with it on the widest setting. The illuminator light is invisible to both you and the animals you are pursuing which is excellent for camouflage. It does seem to auto-shut off after 30 minutes though for some reason, but it is easy to turn back on. The hot-swappable batteries are amazing for this segment. Other devices have built in batteries. Batteries degrade, so being able to buy new cells in the future is huge. The included charger is sensitive to different power bricks. The one I found the most luck with was a Anker fast charge type C from Walmart. I believe it was 20 watts. The reticle works well. And the zeroing feature takes a little time to learn but is really cool. You can store something like 20 guns on it. So if you switch this between your guns (assuming you mount it in the exact same place) you won't have to re-zero it each time. My favorite part of this optic is the video recording feature. The resolution is great and works in both day and nighttime. You can also live stream the footage to your phone through the app. The first hog we got with this, I had the live video on my phone and helped call the shot for my friend. Super cool. The zoom is digital, but even at 20x it has enough detail to discern stuff. The starting zoom being 5x is a little awkward when hunting within 100 yards, so if that is your most likely use case, I would get the 3-12x instead of the 5-20x. In the future, I may pick up another DNT optic with their built in rangefinder, the YouTube videos look really cool. But for the money, this thing has unbeatable value. ... show more

  • Quality and functionality.
Size: V1 5-20x
Very impressive! And totally worth the price. This is my first scope of this type. I tried a cheaper alternative and sent it back almost immediately. This is a quality build and the night vision is clear and bright. I haven’t sighted in yet but I expect to have no issues. Update: Zeroed the site. Super easy. I’m sure it could be done in one shot with the right equipment. I would think you’d want check with a second shot. Now it hammers hammering tacks. ... show more

  • Not just good for the money, good period!
Size: V1 5-20x
I have two Gen2+ clip on Infrared Night vision scopes that I install in front of my scopes on our AR15s for night hunting. They are all rigged up the same. They work good, but are very heavy and a pain to tote around in the dark. I purchased the DNT scope with cautious optimism after watching multiple YouTube video reviews and demonstrations. Wow! For a third of the price we paid 8 years ago, these things blow away what I have. I can use them day and night, take pictures, video and audio recordings. The difference in technology is tremendous. I have a buddy that has $5K thermal and it is no better than the thermal DNT I purchased. I am sure there are differences, but for hunting like we do, the difference is not perceivable. I purchased the basic night/day, the night/day with RFD and ballistic calculator and the thermal/day/night scope. All three for what I paid for one clip on 8 years ago. I am very pleased with the function and capability of the DNT optics. Around Christmas time I will be making another purchase. Set up is easy and they all come with a charger and two batteries...and a picatinny mount! I admit, I am not a night vision snob, but these things have really impressed me and my wife. We have been night hunting for over 10 years. ... show more

  • Overal Great
Size: V1 5-20x
Good Refresh Rate, fantastic recording quality. Night IR vision is suburb at decent ranges, any more and you might need a bigger after market IR light. one shot zero feature is amazing. Easy to learn how to use. At the current $400 price range i highly recommend. It was around 600+ when it came out. If you see it on sale under 400 snag it up! ... show more

  • Buy it it’s more than you think!
Size: V1 5-20x
Why spend thousands of dollars when you can spend a couple hundred and get this type of quality. This is one of the easiest scopes I have ever sighted in and accuracy is off the chart. It’s not a heavy scope and the clarity at night and daytime is amazing. The function on this unit is very user friendly. And also looks pretty cool. I have take several hogs from 75 yards and out to 125 yards with no problems with the scope. My advice is if your looking for something that’s not to expensive and want quality this is it. ... show more

  • 10 of 10. Would buy more if I could afford them.
Size: V1 5-20x
Does exactly what it's supposed to & in a high quality package. I get no lag & I didn't even have to zero mine. It was dead-on straight out of the box. It's supposedly a budget night vision scope, but I'm not sure what would make more expensive models any better than this one. The only nitpick I have is the field of view is a bit narrow. Hopefully the range finder version becomes more affordable. I'd love to try that out. I'm sure it works great too. ... show more

  • Exceptional value
Size: V1 5-20x
Awesome value, works exceptionally well for the money. Installed on a 17hmr to test and zeroed easily with the one shot zero and could easily shoot 4 and 5 inch steel plates in the dark of night. Lots of fun to shoot with it install.
