The media could not be loaded. I picked these 4" Zouzai LED lights for downlights along the new build soffit. The softer temperature setting will give a nice glow on to the siding. The manufacturing appears to be well made, the steel junction box is heavy and with sufficient knockouts. You do need to choose the color temperature setting on the side of the junction box prior to installing it in the ceiling/soffit. I have been on the hunt for LED's that can change color via a remote or other device. I'll be depending on the electrician for proper guidance to the various possibilities of wiring for turning on/off, dimming, sections, etc. The one con, or should I say uncertainty, is the list of compatible dimmers and statement of works with "most" dimmers. Hopefully, the one the electrician chooses will work. ... show more

It was time to spend the money to upgrade from incandescent bulbs to LED bulbs, so I decided to look for complete replacement lights instead. Needless to say, when I found these, I had to give them a try! I am glad I did, because they work great and fit nicely into the old can light openings. I really like how easy these were to install after removing the old light cans since they are easy to wire and pretty much just "snap" into place to grab onto the back of the drywall. I also like that they are color temperature adjustable and have full dimming capability. The light output is nice and bright as well as evenly distributed. Certainly a welcome trend for the folks looking to upgrade their lighting scheme, these LED lights are a much easier application than the metal can light assemblies we used to be forced to use. The disadvantage to using an LED light like this is that, upon failure, it’s desirable to replace the light with the same model - else it will probably catch the eye as a mismatch. So here comes along this pack of twenty four fixtures, at an overall price point far superior to what can be found at the shelf of your neighborhood big box store. But, are they of sufficient quality? I think they are, yes. No one will mistake the junction box as ready for abusive use, if you get my drift. But that said, the metal is sufficient gauge and quality to provide a protected wire connection. The connectors themselves are similarly robust enough that I don’t have any qualms using them, safety-wise. I have a kitchen installation planned for these lights, however tackling that project with a hot summer attic is not desirable. I’ll update this review when cooler weather is here, and indoor projects rule again for a while. Initial impressions and bench testing are more than satisfactory. If my impressions change with installation and daily use, my review will reflect these impressions later. Five stars, pending future install. ... show more

This set of recessed ceiling lights is a great deal and is a fantastic way to modernize the lighting in your home. The lights are well packaged and come with everything that you need to install them aside from the needed tools. I used these lights to update the lighting in my kitchen/living room and have been loving it. Having the ability to put these on a dimmer and control the color temperature is awesome and has made it so that I can achieve the exact lighting that I want. I opted to crawl into my attic to install these lights and it made it super easy. At around six bucks a light these are a huge savings over what can be found at my local hardware store and having a set of 24 gives me a few extras just in case one burns out down the line I will have an exact replacement on hand. These lights are amazing and make for an easy, high-impact, low-cost lighting renovation project. I was certainly a bit hesitant about quality for the price, but LEDs are cheap and these are certainly equivalent to what the big box stores are selling for a fraction of the price. None of the lights received have any issues and they were packaged nicely. Thanks to the attached project boxes, they’re safe and easy to install.
