I tried using this to keep my rug from moving/bunching up when my cats are racing through the hallway. I wanted to reposition the rug one day and the tape ripped the fibers completely out of my carpet. So, after you tape it down it won't slide but unfortunately if you try to remove the tape it will destroy your carpet. The part of the tape that sticks to the floor also loses adhesive properties if you try to reposition it so that means once you stick the rug down if you try to move it the part that sticks to the floor will no longer be sticky and then if you try to remove the tape stuck to the rug to replace it with another piece of tape it will rip the fibers out of the carpet. ... show more

I have a super thin rug in my living room that has no backing on the underside. I used these all along the outer edge and corners to hold it down. They work really well and were simple to put on. I've had to peel them up a few times....I always remove the floor side only and leave them stuck on the carpet side. After wiping the floor-side with a wet paper towel and letting them air dry for a few minutes, they stick back down on the hardwood floor like they are brand new. These do the job, but be warned these are EXTREMELY sticky on the side that adheres to the floor. So much so that I just put the mat down on my wood floor for a minute and I had to pull it up to adjust - the strip stuck to the floor and came off the mat!!! I can see how it can rip up carpet. They are great if you have NO plans to move the rug once its down. If you need to pick up the rug regularly to clean it etc then I would recommend the following: 1. attach the strips but do not remove the backing that adheres to the floor 2. step on the strips (with the backing still on rug side) to make sure it adheres well to rug 3. remove backing and something to take off some off the stickiness - I patted it all over with my hands. You could use an old washrag, a sock, a t-shirt. whatever that can remove the stickiness. 4. then place the rug down where you want it. Alternately - just by a non skid rug pad or those rubber things you put in your drawers to stop things slipping around. Hope this helps!! ... show more

I wanted to love these, I really did! They were great for the first two weeks. I have a husky and a black lab who love to run up and down this hallway. After a few weeks they were covered with hair and the no longer had any grip. If you have a heavily shedding dog, DO NOT BUY.

These rug grippers are easy to apply. I also appreciate that they’re labeled “A” and “B” for ease in applying to corners. I was trying to do this quickly before my toddler noticed and that little detail helped a great deal. My initial reason to purchase was to use on a large thin cotton rug in our kitchen. That rug needs to be frequently laundered so I don’t recommend these strips for that. The seller was quite helpful in giving tips on usage and their response time is excellent. I had two extra strips that I used on a small latex backed entry mat placed on hardwood floor. They are excellent in this application. The rug stays in place while I run a vacuum over it. This cuts down on the amount of cleaning I have to do considerably. I will probably get more to use on the other latex/rubber backed rugs in our entrances that slide on hardwood floors. i have 4 or 5 rugs in my apartment and a puppy that LOVES to mess them up when he runs around the place. i tried these rug adhesives out and boy - we are never going back to the typical rug pads that end up sliding around anyway! these were easy to put on, the rug has not moved out of place in 2.5 weeks since i put them on! they are also removable and reusable which is awesome, and there’s so many in the pack, enough that i didn’t need to buy a second pack. highly recommend these!! i added a photo of the small rug we first tried these on, it was 2x3 and we put a gripper on each corner. now they’re on every rug! ... show more
