  • Good sized laptop backpack for a great price
My old travel backpack is getting old, and I was looking to upgrade to another that was made for carrying laptops. This ZOMFELT Travel Backpack had a pretty affordable price, so I was skeptical of what the quality would be like. I was pleasantly surprised that it is a pretty rugged backpack with lots of room in it, yet no so big that it won't qualify as a personal item on those airlines that actually make you put it in the container that will prove it shouldn't be charged as carry-on. The handle is re-enforced with a steel wire, so you don't have to worry about the stitching coming loose. The back is padded with separate pads for each shoulder blade and the lower back, with a gap in the middle that will hopefully help with ventilation. (My back always gets sweaty when lugging a backpack around all day.) There are four main sections inside, each with a separate zipper to close. The back section is for the computer and has TWO padded pockets, so my laptop and large kindle or iPad can be in separate pockets, and there is a strap over the two pockets to keep things in. The middle section is very large, but no pockets in it, which I wish it had. The second-to-the-front section is smaller with no pockets, but good for a charger with a large cord. The front section has one large-ish pocket, two small pockets, and two pen-sized pockets. There are adjustable straps on each side of the backpack that you can tighten make the backpack more compact when you aren't opening it, or loosened to open to get in the sections. There are elastic pockets on each side to fit a water bottle or small thermos, and of course adjustable shoulder straps to wear the backpack. Each zipper has a fabric loop to hold with one hand so you can open the zipper with the other hand (if you want). Overall, the quality is very good for a $20 backpack, and is comparable to the quality of my older backpack that I paid twice that much for. I'm pretty happy with it. ... show more

  • Your laptop can't wait to travel with this!
Every time I fly, I take a laptop with me. But while I'm surrounded with fellow travelers with backpacks, up till now I've only taken a notebook case with me as my under-seat item. But no longer. On my next trip, I'm packing my notebook in this very nice Zomfelt backpack. First impressions: How can a backpack fit into such a (relatively) small box? Well, it's folded such that a third of it fits inside the backpack, then into a plastic zipper case, which is inside the box. Pretty nifty but of engineering. Unfolding the backpack, it looks like photos 2-4. I stowed my 15.6" notebook in the laptop compartment, and there was plenty of room for the mouse, power brick, ear buds, and more in the same compartment. Zipping it closed, it's time to look at the outside compartments. There are two, the bottom one likely for wallet, passport, and other often-used items. The upper one is longer, so it seems logical to put a book or magazines in there to have something fun to read during the flight. Now to the top, where closer to the strap we have the previously mentioned notebook storage area. The second opening features two zippers and a large compartment to put a sweatshirt or light jacket, a change of clothes, or maybe a few toiletry items. This is going to be wonderful having so much extra room to pack my stuff. The price is very reasonable for all this storage. I paid about the same for just the lightweight laptop case itself. Now I'm ready to fly. (Insert your favorite leavin on a jet plane-big ol' jet airliner-learning to fly song here.) ... show more

  • Perfect Travel or "GO" Bag
I am very pleased with this back pack bag. It is nice and tall, has several zippers as well as side pockets. I wanted this nice large bag to use as a "GO" bag, in case of emergency, fire, tornado, etc. Something to grab-and-go. This bag has nice pockets in the front, with sections inside the pockets. The first large compartment is very spacious and roomy, will hold load of your stuff. The last zippered compartment has the most sections, you can easily carry most anything you can imagine. Bag has additional straps on each side to hold it taunt. In addition, something I've never seen before, there are pads on the back of the back pack to give comfort during your hiking. Excellent bag! I am thinking of getting another or maybe 2 more, for camping, carry our clothes, foods, etc. Great bag. If you need anything like this, I highly recommend. This bag is made of some nice tough material, and is water resistant. This back-pack bag should last a long long time! I suggest you order one today. You will be super glad you did! ... show more

  • Pretty decent laptop bag on a tight budget.
This bag was an interesting find. The external and internal materials present as a little nicer than some bags I've seen in the lower budget range. The zippers are a little heavier weight (though I'd opt for even heavier) than expected too. There are four external zipper compartments in the bag, with the back-most being the dedicated laptop compartment that can open all the way for airport screening, and large middle section, then the front two sections which are basically large pockets. There are also two open elastic stretchy parts on each side. As with another cheap backpack I recently reviewed, the lack of padding is of concern, though this bag actually managed to include at least some back padding. My (now four year old) 15.6" Lenovo Legion midrange gaming laptop fits in the designated laptop slot, but not with a lot of wiggle room near the zippers. I'd be a little nervous to carry laptops around in bags without a bit more robust padding, personally. Concerns aside, this does seem like a noteworthy budget-minded carry-on flight luggage option, especially when you grab it on sale for under $30. The compartments seem reasonable laid out, with the laptop and front most pockets having some useful internal pockets and dividers. It doesn't feel as sturdy as my over $50 main laptop bag, and without any water resistance guarantee, I take any claims of water resistance with a large grain of salt... but I might test it under a sink later. ... show more
