I bought 3 bonsai’s. The blueberry and the Hawaiian umbrella are awesome and healthy. The Chinese plum tree looked healthy when it arrived, but immediately died, even though I followed the directions and environment - would recommend these as they were packaged well and looked great upon arrival! Maybe the plum is just a difficult variety to keep alive or don’t do well with transport and change of environment. ... show more

Update after about 10 months: The bonsai tree is doing fine. It has produced lots of leaves and has dropped lots of leaves. It is still full of leaves. It has been in a north-facing window. No fruit yet. The Bonsai tree was about 9 inches tall and 6 inches wide in a pot of about 7 by 6 inches. The tree seems health. The leaves are all still on it after about a month. I have been generally watering every few days. The pot I received was a nice dark blue, which I actually like more than the white pot shown in the pictures. Not sure how many colors of pots they have. They packaged the tree very nicely to protect the tree. And the box was much stronger than the typical shipping box. So I was very happy that nothing was broken on the tree or pot. The tree leaves look like the picture they provided so I think it is a plum tree but I won't know for sure until I see a plum. ... show more

Bonsai was packaged and shipped well. Shipping during mild weather months (March, April) is best. After unpacking I let Bonsai settle for 3 days before any watering, and waited 1 full week until initial pruning. New growth started in the 2nd week. I'm very happy with my Chinese Sweet Plum Bonsai...

    • Over watered in too large of a pot.
This tree arrived in an overly watered muddy soil and a pot way too big for the root ball. I repotted it immediately into a smaller, more appropriately sized pot with good bonsai soil. It looks like a decent tree, shaped like the photo. Hopefully it’ll handle the over watering, shipping and repotting stress. Time will tell. ... show more
