This tree bag is quite sturdy. Made of durable canvas with vinyl coating inside (for water protection). I was impressed with the fact that the straps are sewn so well and reinforced on the inside. Some reviewers have complained about the fact that it does not have rigid sides...I fixed that by using large pieces of cardboard from the old tree box (I'm sure it would work with any cardboard cut to size). I love that it opens all the way since I am a petite woman (5'1") and always end up packing up the tree by myself. It just makes it so much more accessible. I added a picture of my 7' tree (for size estimation). The tree fits easily with room to spare. If you're on the fence, I'd say go for it...this really was a great value and an excellent product for the price! (I bought another in red!). The material is good quality, and bag works well overall, especially for the price. Beware that dimensions in listing are a bit exaggerated in some places. Came with 4 loose straps for securing the contents, and then cinch straps built into the outside on the top and sides. The ability to unzip the top and one side is really great! I have two different 7.5’ trees and bought two bags...my plan was to keep the tree in its box, and then put it all in the bag, giving me a handle and allowing me to slide it in/out of the closet without scratching floors. It worked great for the smaller tree/box, and the cinch straps came in handy to reduce the leftover space. When I got to the larger tree/box, I was disappointed to realize that the actual dimensions weren’t as listed. The tree box I was using was 48” long, 19” wide and 23” tall. Description said 48”x24”x24” which should have given room to spare, but in reality it was more like 47”x20”x20” (probably won’t be an issue for most users). I considered cutting up the box to make it work, but decided that I didn’t need to zip the top. I was able to buckle the straps at full extension (just barely made it!), and this will serve my needs for a handle and protection on the bottom of box. 1 star off for the misleading dimensions (would have given 4.5 stars if I could), but overall I’m pleased and just bought another for my mom. I definitely recommend keeping your tree box if you can to help keep the shape. Should hold up well to occasional, gentle use. ... show more

    • Bought two bags and used for a full 12 ft tree.
Size: 9 Ft. Color: Red
We have a 12 ft tree with spring steel mini branches that automatically pop out when the main "limbs" are unfolded. What that means is that it doesn't collapse into a nice narrow shape. The sections are still pretty freakin bushy and big. I ordered two of these bags because of the larger dimensions and also because of the internal and external nylon straps to cinch it all up. One bag easily holds two of the fullest parts and the other holds the three remaining parts. Cinching the branches down as narrow as possible is a LOT trickier than I anticipated because the folded down branches actually keep the section in kind of a cone shape. When I cinch the web straps down, the tighter I go, the more it wants to slide down to the more narrow end. The other thing I'm a little worried about is damaging the branches or the lights with the straps on so tight. The external straps are oriented a little weird in relation to the handles, but they work ok. The straps on each end seem like a waste because they don't do much. I now have two very VERY heavy bags, awkwardly shaped, but they should do the trick. I'm much more confident in this fabric than with the plastic (polypropylene?) bags I've seen everywhere else. I'm also confident that I can move these heavy bags without breaking the material or the handles. Definitely a two-man job and that's another thing I'm glad for--handles on the ends! ... show more

If you plan to put a large tree in this bag just know that it will fit, but the bag will be difficult to move to storage as it's sides are not designed stiff enough to maneuver the heft of a large tree tumbling around in it. It took two men to carry a 7 ft artificial tree to the shed without the bag flipping all over the place. hahaha. Basically, the bag is great for protecting the tree, sucks for moving it. ... show more

We purchased this bag to store our Christmas Tree in. We broke down our tree, packed it into the bag (it is a bag not a box as shown) and zipped it up. We noticed during our packing of the tree that the bags stitching was all over (runs of string all over bag) but though it was a cheap bag and the areas we checked seemed okay. What we found when we got it all zipped up was that the bag had a large tear in it. Please note the tree fits well inside with plenty of room and we were very careful in placing it into the bag (it unzips fully to lay somewhat flat) and compressing the tree branches as well as placing the pole areas to the center of the bag. We contacted Amazon, and with the work to pack up the tree, move it to storage area, and then to unpack, ship damaged item back, (which we usually would do) and repack into the new bag when it arrives on the 12th (10 Days later) was not acceptable for the $. Amazon as always comes through and is sending the new bag regardless with no need to return the damaged one. We will for sure check out the new one very carefully when it arrives but store it until next year. We would have eaten the cost of the bag but Amazon stepped up. So please check the bag out carefully when you get it. The materials seem good, just a bad stitch job... ... show more
