Got this bag along with another to store some patio furniture cushions. I had measured it out and knew what would fit here. This was more expensive and smaller. However, upon arrival it was clearly more durable and a higher quality than the other large bag we got. It is also a good size to store things without being too unwieldy. Even though the things stored are light, the bulk and weight of the other bag makes it too much. This one is a good size to move around. Zipper is covered by the cloth. I recommend picking this up if the dimensions match what you need. We store it in a shed, so can't comment on how weather resistant it is. I would probably not worry about leaving it out in the rain from time to time, but not a permanent outdoor solution.

I bought this to store my cushions in my basement over the winter. I know some people have said, it's not waterproof and I can't speak to that, I can only speak to the fact that it is sturdy and well made.

I guess I did not understand the term "water resistant" . I stored my cushions in the container. I made sure that the overhang covered the zipper - I assumed the zipper was not water resistant. Placed the container on my my outdoor couch over the winter. The container was full of water! my cushions were sitting in water. I bought the larger model too. I tried it this spring. after one rain, it had water in it too. It did not drain. Neither of the containers drained. Perhaps the containers are not made for outdoor use. Very disappointed. I have a large cushion storage box which I do not like because of the spiders that like to make their home in the box. I bought the containers to get around the spiders. I

We purchased these to store outdoor cushions over winter. They’re exceptionally well made. We Bought additional after the first purchase to store pillows and blankets at the cabin. They’re large for bulky items, yet very well made and durable. I’d highly recommend purchasing. I myself will be buying additional for more storage options. You can’t go wrong on these!
