This bed frame was easy to put together. One person can assemble it, but I would advise two. This would make the process much easier. When completed, as advertised, it is very sturdy and doesn’t squeak. Looks great, and I think it is a great value for money well spent

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was looking for a bed that provided for underbed storage in a very small space AND matched the aesthetic of the rest of the room, which has several of these types of metal and wood products. I've assembled them all and overall have found them to be thoughtfully (even ingeniously) designed, with nice little touches like extras for each nut and bolt used, in case you finger flub one into oblivion under the couch or something. I'm a fan -- I know some don't care for this kind of simple build, but I like it in a minimalist way. HOWEVER, on this unit, there are two serious design flaws. Neither impact how the bed functions, per se, but they're just head-scratching, "Really, what were they thinking?" kind of flaws. The first is in how the headboard & footboard go together, several pieces on each side that are joined together using this nice, industrial look kind of joiner (see 2nd and 3rd pics). The issue is this is just a butt-join -- they aren't recessed into each other, they literally just but up against each other and are covered by this "X" plate. A MUCH, much stronger design would have been for one of the pieces on each end of the bed to have been crimped, so it slid into the other piece of square piping. This butt joint is a WEAK connection. I don't know that it will ever be a fail point, because the weight is resting on the upright, not the horizontal, but again it's one of those, "Really?" Somebody wasn't thinking. The second flaw, which is more troubling, is in the center support post -- see the pic, it has a strap that spans the piece horizontally, along the outside, but there is NOT a top plate, which makes this a hinge - if you pick up the bed to move it, this center section becomes a hinge and the bed wants to fold in two! Gah! The other missing thing here is any kind of a mattress stay, which ideally SHOULD be a part of the same obviously missing/unthought of top plate. As it stands, there's nothing to keep a mattress from sliding back and forth, left to right, like when you go to sit on the bed. My install has it against a wall, so it's not going anywhere, but if this isn't installed against a wall, all bets are off, that mattress is gonna go sliding because there's nothing to stop it. These are two issues the company can so easily address, and I hope they do in future versions. I'm still quite satisfied with the bed, I'm a senior citizen female and I put it together myself, quite easily. Clear instructions, each nut and bolt were clearly labeled, the small tools you needed to tighten things up were included. Only tool I had to pull out was a rubber hammer, to tap the cross pieces fully into place once I set them in their notches. One other note: the illustrations in the product description make a big point of a 1000 pound weight limit -- awesome, that's why i chose it, as it clearly seems like a good strong bed! But if you go down and read the find print of the product specifications, it clearly says "do not exceed 300 pounds." Pretty much the same weight limit as others in this class and style. Just a deceptive description. Highly recommend, even with the couple of engineering issues, this is a SOLID bed, doesn't squeak or creak, LOVE the amount of underbed storage available, a big plus.

This is a well designed bed that works great for our 10 year old. The steel industrial look is a great aesthetic and goes with the decor of the room. Packaging is well thought out and the instructions are acceptable. Since it is steel bolt/nut fasterners, I would recommend using thread locker to keep everything in place although it is shipped with nylock nuts. Overall, it’s a great bed that is sturdy and looks great overall.

Very sturdy, love the industrial look. Easy to build, we love it! Nice to have a foot board to keep the mattress from slipping, and the footboard is short enough that you can still jump into bed from the foot. It doesn’t creak, and the slats support our memory foam mattress.
