Works real well , but you must turn the flame all the way down before filling. And if you don't wait at least 2 minutes, it will not work properly. It needs to warm up first. Gets cold filling.

The media could not be loaded. It must be because I live in a very dry climate, but I was having to add lighter fluid so often. I soon got fed up with it and got this butane adapter. It has a mirror polish, and looks just like the original lighter insert. The single flame works well. I like that Zippo offers a variety of styles for the flame shape (single, double, yellow, storm proof). Traditionalist might consider this an abomination, because flicking the flint and lighting the lighter is classic. It's a little bit of a bummer, but the lighter fluid just wasn't lasting long enough, so butane it is. ... show more

Like others have said...it simply doesn't work. Doesn't seem to hold butane. I know how to properly fill butane lighters and I've tried to fill this one multiple times after just receiving it today. It lights for about a second and then the flame rapidly dies and it won't light again.

Works as expected. Had trouble after the first fill, emptied quickly and when refilled it wouldn’t work. Had to troubleshoot, which I bled the touch to get any oxygen out of its system and it has worked perfectly fine since and the butane has lasted much longer. Stop just saying things don’t work or are junk when you don’t even know anything about how they work or how to maintain them. Put in a little bit of effort and Google how to fix things, it’s simple, stop being such lazy consumers. Zippo made a good product. great size and fits perfectly into my zippo, the color is standard aluminum and looks good, the strength of the flame is perfect right out of the box, no reason to adjust it. super easy to fill and super easy to use. perfect for use, got it for myself as a gift to extend the life of one of zippos but I could see how this would make a perfect gift for any one that is an avid use of a zippo lighter. Top notch lighter. Can take more fluid than advertised. Bleed it empty when refilling. Charge three times in five second intervals. I get about 400 lights instead of the 100 advertised in the manual.
