The media could not be loaded. This is not a problem with just this insert. Its a design issue with all of Zippo's pipe inserts. I've used these for about 10+ years and the top of every one has come off within a month. In my photo, you can see that all that holds it in is two tiny bumps, one on each side. Two spot welds instead would permanently fix this problem. Considering the spot welds used in attaching the case hinge, its not like they don't have the resources to weld the chimney caps. The only ones that have stayed in were after I applied a steel reinforced epoxy like J-* W*ld right after receipt. Okay on the basic nickel insert but looks like crud on the gold flashed ones. Not an issue with the seller, but an inherent flaw with the pipe inserts. ... show more

Perfect Zippo pipe insert and there are NO imperfections as some have said. Unfortunately I had to buy this as the Zippo so called pipe light that is gold with ruby red does NOT come with the proper pipe insert but rather a cigarette insert. Donโ€™t buy that specific lighter.

I love this lighter I own four zippos this will make five , it works great as a pipe lighter and I like that the top of the wick cage can be removed to use as a regular lighter when needed and put back on to use as a pipe lighter again, great little feature that shows the quality you expect from zippo. Bent the hinge on the shell of my zippo changing out the original cartridge with this pipe insert. Insanely disappointing. It fit in another shell (same style), but itโ€™s functionality is subpar at best.
