TL;DR Very sturdy, great design, 10/10 would recommend. My wife and I fell through our last bedframe in the middle of the night. We had it for less than a year but weren't all that suprised after seeing it was made out of veneered particle board, the screws just pulled right out of the sides. Backstory aside we weren't about to use Wayfair again. We've had good luck with amazon reviews so we picked this one out based on the good reviews and the flush design in the "toe stubbing" region of the bed 🦶💥🤬. This product was a breeze to assemble and all made from solid wood or steel with the thoughtful addition of velcro to hold the 12 slats down and 2 bonus strips of "anti matress skid" tape for the slats. It even came with a low profile ratchet in addition to the standard hex key. Only complaint is that two of the barrel nut holes were drilled 1/16" above their respective bolts holes so I had to drill out the holes a little lower to get the threads to set properly. Seems like a small QC error that slipped through on my product so my review won't reflect that. The bedframe is extremely sturdy, it was designed very well, and the "toe stubbing region" is indeed minimal. Looks great, no sharp corners, 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

Great quality, feels weighty and sturdy. Design is pretty and simple enough to work with a variety of decorating styles. Pretty easy to build too! I also appreciated the thoughtful packaging - it comes with storage boxes you can cut out, and the Styrofoam was wrapped in plastic to avoid a crumbly mess. I do wish the headboard was taller, you can't really see it with the pillows propped up. Overall very happy with the value of this bed! ... show more

After two weeks of deliberating between so many wood beds, this one was the one we chose for our guest room. Our main hesitations were color and quality. We were worried the wood would be too dark, and it was difficult to tell true color by other people’s pictures. It is, in fact, darker than pictured but still very attractive. For color reference: The side tables are from Target, (Corinna Angle Leg Side Table) and are a little lighter but close enough. The quilt is bright white, and there is a bit of ivory in the grey throw blanket. As far as quality goes, it absolutely exceeded expectations. It’s just pine, but still heavy and very sturdily made. No squeaks or wobbles. All pieces, including slats, seem solid. Wasn’t difficult to put together and all parts including spares were included. Another reason we chose this over similar platform beds was the headboard height. Many platform beds have such a low headboard that after you put pillows on, you can’t even see it. While this one isn’t tall by any means, it is taller than most similar styles. All in all, for $245, it’s definitely worth 5 stars. ... show more

I literally spent months shopping online for a new bed frame with headboard. I knew that I wanted something with an updated aesthetic as my old bed frame was a dated sleigh bed. I also knew that I wanted a bed that was solid, sturdy, and would stand the test of time. As I shopped the major online furniture retailers I quickly discovered that like many things recently, furniture prices have SOARED. I was easily finding bed frames that met my criterion that were priced up to 2k!!! I finally found this Zinus bed and while I truly depend very little on Amazon reviews, it seemed to fit the bill. It was delivered in 2 days (other retailers were taking 3+ weeks), it was easy to assemble with good instructions, and most of all, it appears very sturdy, quiet, and stable. With the savings I had from this bed, I was able to have new flooring installed in my owner's suite. BONUS!!!! I am certain you will find better quality bed frames out there, but I am also confident that this purchase was a WIN-WIN for me. Sturdy, updated look, and fast delivery. While I cannot attest to how well this bed frame will wear, after a week of using it, I can state that I have confidence that it will last WELL BEYOND many of the other bed frames I shopped during this escapade. This bed frame is a great buy. The slats are close enough that you shouldn't need a "bunky board" for your hybrid or foam mattress. It was straight-forward assembly, taking about 50 minutes. Color a bit darker than the pic, but it's still very pretty. Very sturdy and a nice height for a single mattress with no boxspring. There was still room beneath the bed for flat storage containers.     • Where do I begin?!

1) The box was delivered and the bed was in a box in the box! THANK YOU! The outside box ALWAYS gets beat up and I love that this company anticipated that. 2) All of the styrofoam padding was INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED in plastic so sthat you didn't have all the styrofoam mess in your house everywhere! We were impressed....but let me go on. 3) Each peice was protected wtih a nice quality foam sheet and fit perfectly in the box so there wasn't any jiggling around and possible damage caused. 4) We have put together SO much furniture over the past 26 years as well as just recently, we purchased 4 other peices of furniture and NONE of them were so well thought out, so well put together, and this purchase was by far, one of the higher quality pieces. The wood is lovely, everything was well planned out. When we got down to putting the slat boards on the bed, my husband noticed some scews that stand out a little on the support beam and he said, "Now, I will REALLY be impressed if they have planned for the slats to miss those screws so that they can lay flat." Guess what? They did! It was SO easy to put together! 5) Lastly, just another thoughtful, fun touch was a little envelope with a cute message to the buyer and 3 greetings cards to use and send to someone you love! (Granted, on the back is their company name, so a little marketing here....but I plan on marketing the heck out of it for them because we are so happy with the product!) We were just really quite blown away with the quality of the product, the ease of putting it together, and all of the well thought out little "extras" that made the whole experience kind of--dare I say joyful?
