  • Excellent Bed Frame
Size: Queen Style: Wood Slats
I purchased this queen bedframe because I wanted the 14 inch clearance for storage underneath the bed and because the leg supports in the corners are set back. Very important for me because I sometimes bang my toes on the corners of bed frames when I walk around the beds. I also wanted to replace my old bed frame that had a headboard and footboard built in. I gained almost an extra foot of space in my small bedroom with this new frame which DOES NOT ACCOMMODATE a headboard or footboard. Those were my reasons. Cost was secondary. This was not he fastest item to put together (took about 45 minutes) but it was the easiest item to assemble that I have ever purchased, bar none. Top quality nuts and bolts, well made frame and get this... Every hole lined up just as they were supposed to so no struggle lining the parts up and forcing the bolts to go in. Every bolt and every part fit as they are supposed to. When completed the bed frame was very sturdy and light enough that a kid could move it around the room. Even the assembly tools that are included in the kit were good quality and can be kept in your tool box for other projects. There were also extra nuts and bolts and other parts included. NOTE... You must tighten the bolts very snug if you do not want the bed frame to squeek later on down the line. Crank them down! The wooden slats are spaced 2 1/2 to 3 inches apart and are well supported by 1" square metal rails underneath and around the outside. The bed frame is flat once assembled and you can put any kind of matress on top of it. Thin, thick, memory foam, it doesn't matter because the top surface of the frame is flat and is the exact same size as your queen matress. The bed frame is 14 inches high so it is meant to replace your box spring. You can still put a box spring down first but that will make your bed very high and difficult to get on unless you are over 6 ft tall. If you have gel foam or are concerned about your matress material squeezing between the wooden slats, just put a fitted piece of 1/4 inch plywood down first. Problem solved. I cannot say enough good things about this bed frame but I highly recommend it and it is well worth spending a few extra dollars to get this frame vs the cheaper frames out there. I searched the amazon site for almost an hour studying each frame before deciding on this one. One of the best decisions I have made was choosing this frame. Thanks Amazon for providing this frame and thanks to the manufacturer for producing such a high quality product. To me, this is a best of the best products. And... No more stubbed toes!!! ... show more

  • Great frame with no issues if put together according to instructions
Size: Full Style: Wood Slats
I recently purchased this bed frame for my daughter moving into her first apartment after reading other reviews. Let me start by saying I was a little hesitant despite the high rating. I read many reviews stating the legs collapsed easily and the wooden slats were warped or cracked. When the box arrived I opened it and took out and separated all of the pieces. Everything you need to assemble is included in the box. A quick look at the instructions and I was on my way. It was very simple to assemble. I am a 44 yr old female and did it myself in less than 45 minutes. The only reason I can think of that other reviewers who stated the legs easily collapse is that they didn't put the bolts in the top of each of the legs as stated in the instructions. After the bolts are in and tightened those legs are not moving. The wooden slats do seem a little "flimsy" but when all are put in they are sturdy. The slats run all the way down the bed with about 1 1/2 inches between each slat. No squeaks if tightened as tight as you can. I did leave the included tools with her in case she needs to tighten the bolts at any time. I like the placement of the legs and there is a lot of space underneath for storage which is great for a studio apartment. At this point I am extremely satisfied. Will update my review after a few months regarding durability. I would have expected this frame to cost a lot more than the $75 I paid. Great frame for a great price! ... show more

  • I am Super Comfortable in the bed right now I am Super Comfortable in the bed right now
Size: Full Style: Wood Slats
I bought this to go along with an 8inch Spring/foam hybrid mattress, Both cost together around $200. I am Super Comfortable in the bed right now. The bed was Super Easy to assemble. My daughter and I did it in Less than a half hour!! They provide all the hardware, an Allen key, and a tiny ratchet wrench, to tighten the bolts. The wooden slats are 100 % Better than ANY IKEA bed I’ve owned or purchased! They fit into predrilled holes in the base. So there is NO ROOM for them to move around or Break. The Bed is Really Sturdy, and made of nice painted black metal. Another PERK, NOT banging my Toes into the corners of the Bed! The Frame is built so the Legs are in further than the edge, so getting around the corners is NOT an issue for me as my bed is in a tight space and I would Stub my Toes!! The mattress stays in place on the base, and gives it Perfect Support! It withstood the “Test” of my 3 year old Granddaughter who jumped on the bed as soon as we made it! I’ve also had my daughter and my grandbabies, 3 and 1 on the Full size bed. And it did Not Move or feel Unstable! I would highly recommend this base for anyone looking for a Quality frame for a mattress! The Price and Quality Alone are the biggest selling points! PS, save the tools, and instructions to disassemble if you plan on moving, it will be an easy Task. Love this Bed!! PS, there is a Nice Height to it which creates ALOT of storage underneath!! ... show more

  • Great buy - no doubt
Size: Queen Style: Wood Slats
I bought a new latex mattress that didn't need a box spring, so for the first time I planned to buy a platform bed. I couldn't make up my mind, and since the ones I liked were $1k+, I was agonizing over the decision. In the meantime, the mattress was directly on the floor. Not a good solution. When I came across this frame, I thought, hmm. This might buy me a little time to make my bed decision. But I was slightly suspicious of the price and worried about the quality/durability. I went for it, and I am very happy I did! This frame is a cold-stone bargain. It is very solid and sturdy, much more than I expected. It could easily accommodate two adults and their various nocturnal activities without worry or squeaking. And when those nocturnal activities result in a couple of little ones? I'd think they could climb in with mom and dad without worry (at least up to a certain age). I don't feel any of the bars either. I like the height and purchased some containers to store things under the bed. The only reason I docked a star - putting it together wasn't hard, but it was a pain in the rear end because the instructions are terrible. I put it together myself in about 90 minutes, and I'm a middle aged woman. You don't need two people or any extra tools. What you do need is patience and a healthy vocabulary of curse words to vent. I love putting together IKEA furniture, and do well with good step-by-step guides. This one leaves out some details, changes orientation of the beds without explanation, and the "magnified" pictures that show the directions of bolts etc. are so small you can't see the details. So you'll have to use your brain. Here are a few tips (may seem obvious, but would've helped me): - When you first lay out the metal pieces, make sure the legs are folded under (the picture looks like they are facing "in"). So each piece is balancing on folded legs. - The four pieces with two legs each form the outside (short ones head + foot, longer ones along the sides). The pieces with one leg are inside the frame. - Do the outside of the frame first. The curved plastic pieces fit inside the ends of each piece easily. Once those are in place, put the curved metal pieces on "top" of the corners and bolt them in. - For the middle section, you might be dumbfounded, at least if you have a queen-size version! On the instructions, it shows the two bars with the single legs placed horizontal. They aren't. They go vertical, in the direction you sleep. - I see a bunch of complaints here about legs folding in. You have to put a screw into the top of each leg. This wasn't super clear on the instructions. With the bolt in, the legs shouldn't budge. - Take extra care when putting the caps on the wooden slats. They could give you splinters. - The slats snap easily into place. I didn't need a hammer or mallet, just a little leverage and a push. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. It far exceeded my expectations. For me this was originally intended as a temporary solution while I shop for a platform bed, but I'm starting to think I don't need anything else. As a side note - no, you can't attach a headboard. But I have an old one, and I just slipped it between the bed/mattress and the wall. My headboard is short enough (or my 12" mattress is tall enough) where there's no risk of the headboard falling on me. That may or may not work for you, depending on the height of your mattress and your headboard. ... show more

  • Three Years.... Three Set Ups... Still Quiet and Sturdy = VERY HAPPY
Size: Queen Style: Wood Slats
I am VERY HAPPY with this bedframe. I bought the QUEEN size in 2018 and the set up is super easy. You just unfold the legs, bolt them in TIGHTLY, and done! I moved six months later and lost the bolts but they were easy to replace at HD. I moved again November 2020 and even after a third set up and 3 years of use the bed is still sturdy and it doesn't squeak. I really like that there are no posts on the corners. I live in a city apartment where space is limited... I'm always rushing and usually distracted so I always stubbed my toe on a corner post of my bed frame... which REALLY HURTS! It also makes it easier to place under then access what you store underneath. When I was shopping for this bed frame I was dubious about a model with legs that fold down. I was concerned they would loosen over time making the frame less stable, but I'm happy I did because it is very stable while being much more convenient to move. Just fold down the legs and tape them to the frame, and it's less than 6 inches wide. I recommend placing the bolts in a zip sandwich bag then tape them to the frame as well. ONE CAVEAT: If you have wood floors be careful! When I moved in November the rubber had worn away from the bottom of a center post leaving a VERY DEEP scratch. I was a lucky my landlord is a friend so he was cool, but if it was a management company they probably would have kept my security deposit. I put 1 inch felt self stick pads on ALL the legs (to keep it even) and I'll to keep an eye in case I need to replace any. To be fair rubber wears away over time, so this is to be expected. This bed frame has been pretty much faultless for three years and counting... so fingers crossed... good luck and cheers! ... show more

  • Best thing I've ordered off this site by far
Size: Twin Style: Wood Slats
Needed a new frame desperately This one was the absolute best price and quality for what I needed! It had all in one easy set up, saves so much space in my small a** room considering it doesn't need a headboard or end board and is more elevated leaving room for extra storage. In he pictures it looks like it would sit up like 2 feet off the ground but it's more like 1 1/2' off the ground. Just high enough (: Set up was ridiculously easy and fast. It's very stable, doesn't bend, sway, or squeak. It's able to be fully taken apart again for easy transport And the legs are set up in the dopest way, to where the outer legs aren't one on each corner where you would typically crack your toe on them at some point There spaced out 2 on each side. I thought that was pretty ingenious Not to mention it doesn't require a box spring! More money to be saved right there lol As for the mattress I chose the Sleep Master Ultima - Comfort Memory Foam 6 inch, Queen size on sale on here for $153.18 ... show more

  • Easy to set up,well made, affordable
Size: Full Style: Wood Slats
Came when expected, on time about a week, box was a little beat up but no damage to the product. Everything's included int he box to put this frame together, which helps a lot when you don't know where your tools are while moving. Even came with plenty of extras in case you need them. I am so happy I bought this, has made a world of difference for my back. With a not so good older mattress, with this frame, made it a lot better than before on my make shift frame I tried building for a temporary. Ordered the full size 14 inch bed frame and was able to put it up in less than 45mimutes, easy, without a glitch, and without having to look up any how to video's. The paper instructions that came with it were clear and very simple to go from. Even had my 5yr old help me out and he put the plastic ends on the wooden slats. Its higher than I assumed it'd end up being underneath, but perfect for storing stuff under. I definitely recommend this frame for the "not so savey put it together yourselfers", like myself. You'll be happy you got this, I've had to put together dozens of other bed frames in the past and this one is the easiest I've done. ... show more

  • It comes in a ton of pieces!
Size: Full Style: Wood Slats
So, this will be the 5th bed/bed frame I have purchased from Amazon. My son is 12, and when we moved in our new house, I decided to upgrade him from a twin sized bed, to a full-sized bed. Originally, I was going to just order the bed frames we already had, as I have had no issues with them. However, I decided to search around and stumbled across this. It was $30 less, so I jumped on it. I saw the star rating, and just ordered it. Obviously, I didn't take the time to read the reviews. So after a very long and stressful day at work yesterday, my front door was bombarded with HUGE Amazon boxes, and I was adamant about setting up the bed so my house doesn't look like a mess. Instead of bringing the dirty boxes upstairs, I opt to take the frame out of the box. Now, it looked strange to me because the box was so tall and narrow. The other frames, you just unfold them and 2 screws, and you're ready to go. This was NOT the case. I heard it as soon as I lowered the box to cut the tape. The sound of metal crashing together. Once I got the box opened, I was almost in tears. This frame was in a million pieces! I was so upset. Now did it take long to put together? Well, it wouldn't have if I didn't place the screws upside down. Overall, it would've been a 30-40 minute set up, but this was not the case or point. I expected an unfold and go. Now, I will say I like some things about this bed frame. After I got over my mini-meltdown, and put the wood slats on, I will tell you I absolutely LOVE that the 2 wood slats have double adhesive tape. This secured the bed skirt and made it so easy to put the mattress on without having the bed skirt get all bunched up under the mattress. This alone can cause a meltdown. So, although it wasn't fold and go, I finally came to the conclusion that I would have spent the same amount of time trying to wrestle the mattress without moving the bed skirt. So, now I am happy. As far as how it will hold up? I haven't a clue, as a 12 year old is sleeping on it, and it has only been one night. However, I will update if there are any issues! ... show more
